Eee, okay, playing catch-up again. The 19th, 6:30 PM at Chevy's in/near the MOA?

I was also thinking maybe we could get a room at one of those chain hotels that has a pool. And order pizza. But that's just me. Paying for another meal and room might be a little out of my price range this month.

We could totally just do pizza......if that's ok with everyone? It's cheaper, and then there's time to do swimming.......anyone object?

I was thinking the Courtyard near the MOA, it is $80 a night instead of $130......if we do that, and we have at least 8 people, it's $10 or less instead of $15 per person. And if we do pizza, it will make things much more affordable for all

It's a good idea, Diz. I have been thinking it, too, when people were talking about what to do for the second get-together...but since I couldn't make it to that one, I didn't think it was really my place to cast a vote on what to do then.

I like the idea.....then we can have snacks and pizza and more time for swimming and conversation

Hopefully no one is too shy about the bathing suit thing......believe me, I'm not one to be super excited about running around in my bathing suit......but swimming should be fun, and I think we can all get over a little bit of self-consciousness

OK, this is really the last opportunity for people to object......if anyone has any problems with the plans, I'd like to know by Sunday.

THE PLAN:

~ Meet in the lobby of the hotel (which I believe will be the Courtyard near the Mall of America, but I'm still looking) at 6:30 . We'll probably stick around the lobby until 7 or 7:15 to make sure that everyone can find us.

~ Order pizza and eat up in the room before going swimming (yeah, yeah, I know, no swimming after eating......but we're a bunch of rule-breakers )

~ Go upstairs, get changed and dry (we'll have to figure out something with bathrooms, maybe split up and have some people change downstairs)

~ Conversation, games, etc. etc.

Anyone coming after we are going to be gone from the lobby should PM me for my cell number so that they know which room we have.

Also, I am in need of someone who can reserve the hotel room. We will all reimburse you, don't worry......mostly, I need someone who won't get in trouble if a hotel room is on their credit card......someone who isn't married and doesn't have parents that manage their credit card, perhaps I'd sort of prefer that it be someone I've met before, someone that's been to one of the getogethers, so I know for sure that when you say you'll come you actually will come. Please let me know if you can do that for us.....we really need to make reservations soon

*hugs* I want to be there! But I can't get out of my previous engagement, and I don't know how late it'll run. Hopefully only to 5:00 or 6:00, which puts me in the Cities around 7:00, especially if I'm going down to the MOA area.
