Maybe this is more TMI, but I have three different kinds of orgasms.

* The typical cis/het male type with cum
* Anal prostatic - also produces cum
* Another that’s sort of a phantom pussy female kind of thing with shakes and whole body convulsions - sometimes with aftershocks.


The latter is becoming more common for me, especially when I’m not getting as hard or for as long as I once did.

If a guy comes "twice" without a break he's basically not getting full orgasms, and is probably nervous and faking it.

Men (and some women, it seems, by proxy -- "I made him cum multiple times! I must be really hot!") consider the ability to orgasm multple times a sign of desireability.

And yes, men fake orgasms, often simply to be kind to their sexual partner.

With the caveat that the science is still very much in its infancy (as it's not particularly profitable or health critical) let's consider not being so binary in our descriptions of male orgasm as "complete" and, by extension, less than.

Barbra Keesling expanded the definition of male orgasm possibilities far more broadly:

1. A nonejaculatory orgasm (using the PC muscles or kegels to experience the contractions of orgasm without ejaculation)

2. Multiejaculation, in which a man experiences a series of partial ejaculations

3. The aftershock orgasm, in which a guy has one intense orgasm with subsequent less intense aftershock contraction-based orgasms

4. Retrograde ejaculation, or injaculation, in which semen is ejaculated into the bladder rather than out through the urethra. Injaculation is mentioned often in tantric sex books as the be-all, end-all of orgasm, while most sex therapists consider it a relatively harmless experience that occasionally occurs.

"Male multiple" would most likely align with #1. Seemingly the path to least resistance for a wide subset of men to experience. Not to say there aren't possible outliers who can experience multiple ejaculatory Os in a time frame most would consider rare and unattainable even with training but doesn't seem all that common.

The O.G.s Masters & Johnson considered ejaculation as part of orgasm but keep in mind they were observers and focused on simply recording what few scientist had bothered recording before their time (very much the infancy of sexual science) so I don't know it's best practice to set that in stone.

Later scientist would decouple the ejaculation from the tension, muscular contraction, etc. responses but some are okay with that, others refuse to call it a legitimate male O.

I'm confused by your classification. Multiple orgasm in a woman is, as far as I've seen in a partner, a single orgasm that keeps peaking over a few minutes. What you're describing is a guy who can reach individual orgasms several times in a session. ( taking a sandwich break while she lies unrequited, to return half an hour later to have another go, does not count ).

EB is correct in referring to Tantric sex; my first thought was north American Indians, who regarded semen as some sort of magical-power spiritual-essence. If you pop over to LGBTQI you'll find plenty threads where grown men talk about 'I took his precious essence deep inside, knowing that his gift gave me life and kept my booblets growing.'

I guess it depends on what kind of orgasms you are talking about. Like women, men can orgasm different ways.

Ejaculatory orgasms. There’s even different types of these. Traditional, I cum and then I’m done for a while. But you can “ruin” an orgasm… where a fair amount of cum spills out (usually not shooting) and it can be repeated. I’ve been able to have three ruined orgasms pretty much in a row.

I’ve also had other orgasms - prostrate orgasms. There are dry ones that I’ve had which is where a man gets a very pleasurable feeling deep inside the core of the body. I also sometimes get very good pleasurable contractions in my arms, hands, legs, and feet. (Hard to describe but I’ve written about it in the few stories I’ve published). At least for me, very little ejaculate is produced when it happens, it’s just pleasurable body contractions deep inside me.

Some men can have wet prostate orgasms where ejaculate is produced from the same prostate stimulation.

And then there are other kinds of orgasms I’ve experienced: breath orgasms. Usually from long periods of edging. My breath increases and I have really nice contractions mostly centered in my lungs. I’ve also had nice contractions from nipple play.

We have also explored tantric sex which is based on breathwork and breathing.

In short, men can also experience many different types of orgasms and pleasure and for me, I can have many of these types of orgasms.

Ejaculatory orgasms not so much - unless ruined.

I’m not sure that the ISO has opined. I wasn’t so much focused on the female experience here, but more trying to address the claim that men can’t have successive orgasms without a refractory period. Of course that is often the case, my thesis is that it’s not always the case.

It’s frequency maybe.

You can have distinct gaps between the wave crests, or they can begin to blur together. Not sure a different mechanism is involved. I suppose I’m asking - and I can’t distinguish this from my own experience - whether a protracted period where you never really experience a trough and have lots of peaks is physically different to distinct peaks in quick succession with noticeable gaps in between.

Maybe an fMRI and Hitcahi are required.

I think the X factor here is age. Up to a certain point it's absolutely possible. Maybe not common -- for everyone -- but it happens.

This is why I generally make my characters -- the male ones, at least -- on the young end. Orgasms are fun to write -- the more the merrier.

Yes, it's possible. Look into tantric sex. I've managed it a few times, but it's a lot of hard work and self control. Worth it in the immediate short term, but too much work in the long run. Harder to achieve as you get older though - there gets a point on the plateaus where the decline in arousal becomes a total relaxation and... you have to start all over again.

It's easier remembering when I was with Rosie at uni, making love four times a day, to be honest.

Are you sure it isn't a matter of training yourself to have a dry orgasm? It seems to me that we could train our bodies to block off the urethra (perhaps by causing the prostate gland to contract and block it) and force ejaculate back into the bladder. That would appear to be an orgasm without ejaculation. I don't see how we could train our bodies not to ejaculate at all. That would be a great experiment to undertake though. Not me of course. I'm to old and I'll be damned if I'll try to tamper with any of the orgasms I'm still capable of. And no I don't give a crap about ending a sentence with a preposition. That's a made-up rule that I ain't a gunna follow.

I have experienced Event #1 quite a few times. I wouldn’t describe it a 1.5 though. It has been different distinct orgasms, mostly twice but sometimes three times almost always while getting a blow job.

It doesn’t happen often and typically requires build up and time. When it happens it’s mind blowing.

I guess it’s not much different than how women have varying degrees of intensity when they orgasm. There is also a degree of concentration involved.

The few times I had multiples, each orgasm was an ejaculation. It wasn't a very short refractory period, either, as I was in my forties when I was experimenting with Tantra, and at that age I'd lost the quick regeneration cycle I had in my twenties. It was a series of build ups, with plateaus in between, over an hour or so. As I say, a lot of mental persuasion.

I can tell you that a young man can sometimes cum again without much of a refractory period. I remember a time with one girlfriend in particular, I'd be screwing her, cum and stay hard.
