Emma: Are you still gonna come to the movie theater tonight or are you kinda bailing on me?
Lily: I’m not bailing! I was just low-key thinking about staying in, but honestly I need to get out of the house.
Emma: Same. I’ve been rotting on my couch all week. We deserve overpriced popcorn and a giant soda we absolutely don’t need.
Lily: Okay but why is the “medium” basically a small swimming pool? Like I’m gonna need both hands.
Emma: That’s part of the experience though. You walk in like, “I’ll just get a snack,” and then suddenly you’re holding $40 worth of snacks.
Lily: For real. What are we even seeing? I’m kinda torn between the rom-com and that action movie everyone won’t stop talking about.
Emma: I mean, I’m down for either, but I’m not trying to cry in public tonight. So maybe explosions over emotions?
Lily: Honestly, valid. I don’t have the energy to process fictional heartbreak right now.
Emma: Cool, action it is. We should get there kinda early though. Last time we showed up late and had to sit in the front row and my neck was not okay.
Lily: Oh my gosh, yes. I’m not trying to watch a movie while basically making eye contact with the screen.
Emma: So 7:00 show? I’ll pick you up at like 6:20?
Lily: Perfect. I’m gonna wear something comfy because I fully plan to sink into those seats and not move for two hours.
Emma: Same. Movie night energy is unmatched. It just hits different.
Lily: Okay, now I’m actually excited. See you soon, don’t be late.
Emma: Wow, rude. I’m always on time… kinda.
