I have many students who have the accent...
I know someone up there who said they looked up their town on the weather channel and could swear he heard an evil laugh coming from the webpage... You must be getting in some crazy weather!

Their accent is not strong...I hear it come out every now and then...I get a lot of students from up north.

I guess about 4 years now...I have my BSME, but hated engineering and I had always wanted to be a teacher, so i went back to my dream and Love Love Love it!

I've thought about it a few times myself. My degree is in CS with a focus in discrete math so I have the courses. Just can't get myself comfortable with the initial paycut though. IT was fun for a while but with the regulatory environment and offshoring it's changing rapidly. I do less work and more paperpushing now.

Now I understand the unknown draw to you They paycut is immense, but when you cut it down to hours worked, its about same...We have off about 3 months out of the year total and only put in 7 hour days...very nice
Not to mention the company NEVER gets boring, lol.

Maybe when I hit 45 and they lay me off, I'll go that route. I could stand to be bored less though, there's only so many meetings a guy can take.

I understand...I am lucky with my mortgage...We are lucky to live in an area where homes aren't crazily priced yet. One of the perks I guess of living in a small town.
