I tried to take a picture with my camera phone, but that wasn't working well, so I'll have to charge the batteries in my digital camera and use that.

So I was having networking issues at work today, and my IT guy is on the phone with me, and he proceeds to start describing to me our DSL router, what it looks like, what the little lights labelled "Power," "DSL," etc. mean, how to power cycle it, what the 2 cords running out of it do (they're called "ethernet cords," btw, how interesting...), and other such nonsense. Now, even if I didn't have a college degree in Computer Science, I would've felt a little offended for being talked down to so badly, but this...I wanted to phase through the phone and punch this guy in the face.
He knows not the nerdiness he's dealing with!
Any similar stories out there?
