I really need to work on capitalizing on opportunities, rather than wait two days. But at least I've gone from having to take two months to screw up my courage to two days. It's a step in the right direction.

Well, you see, you already have a boyfriend, so I'm not really that afraid of talking to you since there's not much of a chance of me going out with you. I'm a chicken when it comes to single women and asking them for things like phone numbers or going out on dates.

-_-" Jeez Rhystcracker- okay, you+me+chronie= double date...um...after we err...find you a date ^^

we shall take you to the Pho house of flies!!!!!
and you can find a hot chick there- who can make a mean bowl of Pho ^.~

Hey guys,

You're looking at a very subdued and melancholy Trom at the moment. My girlfriend and I broke up Friday, and I'm just feeling really down. Thought I'd lean on my fellow nerds.

The ways of relationships are rarely smooth and almost never completely easy. And even with all that we still mourn them when they are gone. It's hard to comprehend when the pain is still fresh and we try and either envenom our memeories or see them through rose colored glasses but there is life after love. There is love after love, but that is something to be found in your own time and hopefully you find it first for yourself.

I think part of any breakup is learning to be you again and remembering that you are a great and wonderful person on your own. Which I happen to think you are. We all know it will be easier in ime, pain does fade but that time can never come fast enough or the pain lessen quickly enough.

You do have us to lean on though, your fellow nerds who have been in your very same shoes and can empathize as well as sympathize. We are here to support and bolster our own because face it..nerds stick together.

So go out and buy yourself something distracting and let us know when you need our collective shoulders(for the guys) and pillowy bossoms (for the ladies..I hope) to rest your head upon.

I have to perform some lines from Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew tomorrow in front of class off book. I've never acted a day in my life before so I'm nervous as hell.

Just remember, they're as scared of you, as you are of them.

You are wise.

Thanks everyone. :) I'm feeling a bit better. I can't say I didn't see the break up coming, and it is the best move for both of us to make, but it still sucks. Fortunately in about a week I'll be too busy to even think about her anymore, but until then I'll keep on doing my best to smile.

...that reminds me, I just bought a Canon Rebel XTi. I wanted to get a Canon EOS 30D, but the one they had in the shop on sale (used) got picked up before I could get to it, but then the XTi is rather nice in it's own right (and new!) :nana:

Nice, congrats on the camera. The XTi is a pretty decent camera :) I have the 350D myself, and bought it refurbished. My next camera will probably be a full frame sensor, like the 5D. (yeah, I won't be buying another camera for a looooong time :p )

My next camera, probably some time early next year or in the spring, will be a Pentax Spotmatic most likely. My dad has one, and I absolutley love that camera, it's so old school, and nothing in it needs batteries except for the light meter, everything is wind-up like clockwork.

I have an old manual like that. I've got a few old cameras actually, maybe I'll take some photos of them when I get home from work tonight.
