Just saw a movie, In Bruges, very funny, although very violent and emotionally involved. I highly recommend it.

Also, my room mate just bought a copy of Power Rangers: The Movie *shakes head*

I almost bought that at Target because it was just $5.50, but then I remembered that just because it's super cheap does not mean it's a good deal. :p Besides, I think a pack of Yu-Gi-Oh cards, or a meal at a fast food place would be a better use of my oh so limited funds.

Well, I've picked up Wing Commander for $5.50 before, not a bad deal. Other nice deals include Hunt For Red October, The Presidio, and The Untouchables in a DVD three-pack for $15, and The Truman Show for $3.:D

I saw both Ghostbuster movies on sale for $10. I have also purchased Super Mario Bros, Forget Paris, and many other good movies for around the $5 mark. I don't know that Power Rangers is in that league though.

HOLY SHIT. Cleaning Gnomes Came And Cleared Out My Room.

I typed that all in caps, but obviously there's some filter turned on...

Haha. You talk about my death as if it would be simple! :O

No, I jest. I wouldn't do anything to hurt my friends. If I wanted to be evil, I'd smash their new TV, lol.

Things are, at least, going great with the girl :D

I am ever confident in my man:D.

Now that would be evil.:) I think they needed a new one for a while now myself.

I am glad you've found you your girl hun. :D

Oh yes, they did need a new TV for a while. And this one is shiny. OOOOOoooh sooooooo shiny.

Please send them my way if you catch them:). I could use some cleaning gnomes for this mad house.

Haha. Yeah. I left my room this morning as a disasterpiece, and came home and it was spotless. FUCKING SPOTLESS.

I was creeped out. I don't want people in my room, touching my computer, maybe seeing my porn or various other things! :O

And it's shinier than shiny. Shinyshinyshinyshiny. If it was a woman, I would be all over it.

:DAny ideas on who you get to blame for this blatant act of cleanliness?

My parents. I know this without a doubt.

I don't know WHY. WHY would they clean my room themselves. It's... so... odd.

They got tired of your room being the only messy one in the house?:) I know I've done that myself to my oldest boys' room:D.

But it's not. My sister's is messy too.

Apparently they said something like... "this is what happens when you don't have to pay rent."

I'm baffled.

Uhb oh hun, best be careful. Next might be "Son maybe it's time you think about moving out on your own." Or some such;).

Haha. They're going to let me live here as long as I'm going to school.

He he he Then don't worry about it unless you're taking heat for it;). But seriously, to keep the peace, just try your best to keep your room in the condition the "Land lords" would, and it might keep feelings from being hurt.

Give it time;). More women than you know have a weakness for a man in uniform:D.

See, I see that logic. This weekend I more or less had it proven to me that there are in fact girls out there who find me attractive, but that strangely doesn't matter to me. I don't want the other fish in the sea, at this moment, I want this particular girl (who, at the moment, is also apparently unavailable).

As one of my friends so eloquently put it, I'm smitten for the girl. (smitten, of course, comes from an old word for being struck dead by lightning)

I think one of the things I like about her is her contrasts in regards to me. I'm emotionally very contained. Things that should bother me a lot oftentimes don't, I just don't react the way I think I should to emotional stresses much of the time. This girl, when she's not actually in military mode (literally, when she lets her hair down), will go into emotionally-charged profanity-laden rants (and, BTW, it's cute as hell when a girl cusses with a drawl), complete with frantic hand gestures and full-body fidgets. I'm very introverted, and she's very outgoing.

At the same time, she gets almost all of my jokes, understands what I'm saying 95% of the time without getting annoyed, just seems to mesh with me so well personality-wise, and despite being able to kick my ass in fifteen different ways (also hot, don't get me wrong), she has a tendency to trigger my "Nightwing Defender Complex", where I just want to stand between her and harm.

*sigh*, as a friend told me tonight, my only realistic option is to continue being her friend, and just keeping an eye open in case an opportunity opens up later.

Did you know that in Ancient Egypt, infatuation was treated? Like it was a disease. Yeah. Those crazy Egyptians. They usually had the right idea about a lot of things. Infatuated people do crazy shit, the gods are beyond comprehension or explanation, and slavery gets shit done. Not the most politically correct stances, but fuck P.C. P.C. hardly ever falls in line with reality.

My point however, Tex, is that the way you're acting is NOT why the Egyptians did that. You're acting in a very mature, if slightly misguided fashion. All in all, you're perfectly misguided. Keep on truckin'. Do not, however, stop yourself with a second thought if you ever get up the courage to tell her how you feel. If she's unavailable in a way that will break the UCMJ when you two do eventually hook up (here's hoping), then maybe it's best to step away now, hard as it would be. But, if it's just a temporary hinderance, like not wanting a relationship right now, then you're doing fine. In every relationship I've had since I was divorced, I have been honest and up-front with every person I've met, telling them what I want and what I won't put up with. Because of this, I have three girlfriends, they all know about each other, one is in planning with me to get her moved down here to New Orleans, and the other two would kill for the chance to do the same. You're not quite in that situation, but when you get the chance to have an intimate conversation with her, don't hold back. Don't cheat yourself or her by not telling her everything you can manage to get out as long as it's true.

And do not ask me why I just dropped that, because it's hours past my bedtime and I'm just ramblingat this point. I need to stop sleep-dep posting. It's almost as bad as drunk dialing.

Actually, it's worse. The only record of drunk dialing is a call log.

I can agree with Vandal here, for sure. Even if it's awkward, tell her how you feel and be very mature about it, like you are now. That way, there is NO confusion between you and her about your feelings, and you're open and honest. I can attest to this fact personally; if she has feelings for you, she will let you know, somehow. And then you can be waiting in the wings if her other relationship fizzles, or you can butt in immediately if she wants you to.

Just tell her how you feel, and then it's up to her what she wants to do with that information.

Bah, you might recall me mentioning having it recently proven to me that there are girls who find me sexually attractive. Seems that, as a result of the results of that night (no dramatic change in my status, justs some fun makings out), this new girl is convinced that I only want sex, and that she doesn't need me as a friend, partially because of my apparent narrow desires for her, and because of her pre-existing friend surplus.

Nice. One friend goes back to Ohio, another picks up a boyfriend add-on, and the third doesn't want anything to do with me. She has too many friends, and mine seemingly dwindle as we speak (oh, that reminds me, a drinking buddy of mine got reclassed, and now he's going to be a loadmaster; he heads off on Friday, various other friends are graduating or flunking out as time goes on).

Bah, I'm going to bed.

What did you tell her?
