Seems like this is an interesting thread. Hello, dropping in to introduce myself, though I suppose that's rather obvious so I apologize if that was overly redundant. I'm completely new to these forums but not to Literotica itself as it turns out. I stumbled here rather unexpectedly and couldn't pass up the chance to begin exploring the forums- this one in particular.

I've held a rather intense interest in bdsm for a while but never truly stepped out of my box and into anything pertaining to said interest in real life and actually nothing truly in an online setting either. Which might seem as if I don't hold a genuine interest but unfortunately no matter how far my mind wanders or how fast and violent the hurricane of my life becomes BDSM drifts along the edges drawing my attention back again and again. I suppose the only way I can explain it is that I'm the type of person that likes to analyze and calculate all of the factors and information involved before making a single twitch of a movement. Which has left me floating in sort of between state that is both infuriating and comforting. Obviously my stay in this particular state has only exacerbated my questions and confusion so it might've been a wiser decision to just jump feet first and hope I stuck the landing.

My reasons for joining this forum are:
-Info, info info! One can never have too much.
-Community. The hardest of all for me and yet probably the most important at this point.
-Understanding


So, that's my story, my apologies for the length and unneeded information. Hope to get along with everyone-- let's be honest I'll more than likely be a lurker-- and I wish you the best for today.

Welcome, everyone. Stick around, read voraciously, be sure to check out the BDSM Forum Library via the sticky at the top of the BDSM Talk page, and then ask questions in threads as you see the need. Folks around here are pretty friendly.

About that friendliness: members who are new (especially but not exclusively women) often attract the attention of somewhat predatory types who lie in wait for the innocent and naive. Be cautious about anyone who contacts you via Private Message only, or those who reply to one of your early posts with something like "PM sent." Chances are, there's a reason why they won't interact with you publicly and it's probably not a good reason.

I don't want to sound like an alarmist, but this is a pattern that we all know too well from long experience.
