I have lurked and been an on and off lurker and contributor to this site for some time (years) but took a very long hiatus.
Now I have returned.

I am a late 30 something female, ridiculously happy marriage, educated and employed and looking to make new friends with amazing, informative, interesting stories, wisdom and information to share.

I have mostly sub tendencies but occasionally like to play dom to step outside my comfort zone, though it's a rare occurrence.

Dabbling...and nervous

Hi everyone...

I have been reading here on Lit for almost 2 years - in fact, I would have to say that reading here helped me to figure out that I am a submissive - to be honest - i have always been a submissive but didn't know it or have a label for it...and I never had a partner that pushed me to try all of the wonderful things that I am now discovering do amazing things for me. Finally registered here a few weeks ago after figuring I had lurked long enough. Still probably more likely to lurk than to post lots and lots...feeling rather nervous still.

The resources here are great and while all of the PM's the first few weeks were rather overwhelming (I really had no idea simply registering would make me so visible to everyone ) ~ overall folks have been very friendly and helpful. The kindness and courtesy of other members has been exceptional.

I have just turned 50 this week - so I am very late to the party in figuring this out... I am happily married and my husband is now my Dom. We are sorting through what it means to have a D/s marriage after 22 years of a marriage of equals...and I still staunchly claim my feminism...I guess I am of the belief that many subs are feminists...powerful women, exercising there sexuality in a non-conformist way...and why not?

I really am a nurse - decades of experience in family practice. And though I am new here - I am inclined to help others if I am able. My journey has been convoluted - like many of yours. And I am on a new path now and am relying on all of you to be of assistance as I pick my way through.
