New Literotica Story Page Feedback & Comments

I'd like to see the Font adjustment add to MY homepage so that I don't have to set it on every story I read.
Yes, I'm lazy. Once and done is good for me.
Also a 'Notify me when sequel is posted' button would be nice. I don't want to 'Favorite' a story or author if the story requires more to make a judgement. But one button to let me know the next part is ready would be helpful.

I really like the new form

Being able to adjust the size and spacing is very very much appreciated, not having to strain my eyes so much is a great relief. There are two suggestions I would like to make, one - being able to make the changes a universal setup for my reading of all stories, two - being able to have a BOLD function (thicker letters are easier to read for me).

Author Index

I would like to know why the author index is not indexed. All the other categories have an A-Z index.

Like It

Like the new format.

I would like to see an option to note that I have previously read a story and/or rated it. I know others have asked as well, but since my memory is bad I often start reading a story I have already read, but then "Hey this sounds familiar".

No other complaints.....

Yes, annoyingly this used to be a feature that Literotica had many moons ago, in an earlier version of it's software. Sadly, this fell by the wayside some time ago, and has never made a comeback.

I echo your desire to see this function reinstated.

Timetable

Are you able to offer a guesstimate of when the next functionality enhancement is planned?

Looks good. I prefer Verdana to Arial, but my first impressions are that it's nice to see Literotica join this decade.

please don't look at my website; it's bad on purpose

It is NOT suggested that you change your default font style, or size to anything extreme as some websites won't open properly, if at all, if you do.

If it was practical we would have done that

Fucking with the browser defaults, as you noted at the bottom, can have deleterious side effects - not to mention so called mobile/tablet optimized web sites whose already over sized fonts become ginormous and unusable.
Other wise we'd have done that already.

Author Link and Font Size

The "Similar Stories" section should have Author Links for each similar story listed.

Although the customization window at the side of each new story suggests that our settings will be saved in our profiles, I must constantly readjust the font size setting with every new chapter. It appears nothing is being saved to profiles.

Blockquote appears to be broken

Either blockquote is now broken or you've made a style change that is unfortunate.

In the original UI, blockquote indented. Now it's out on the left margin, rendering it basically useless.

This takes away the ability to stylistically show a short written note or something else that you want to appear different from ordinary dialog and action.

Cool thanks

I almost didn't notice but you implemented one of my suggestions: thank you.

BTW, if you get a chance can you add a 'Sort by Author' tab in the favorites section.

I agree that the ability to control the width would be great, but I want it narrower than the current beta.
I think that the old formatting is great, it is as wide as a book and easier to read than wider texts, such as the ones in the forum.

That's why I'd love a user option on this. I agree re not the whole screen, but still would prefer wider than current. OTOH, I have no wish to impose my prefs on others for something that could (at least in theory) be a profile based option.

Maybe for a future update at least, since it seems this is nearly ready to roll out.

Star Ratings

Dear Folks, I apologize if this situation has already been addressed. I am using a year old Acer Chromebook and I am signed in using the Beta option. When I try to click on a Star rating for a story the Star does Not " take" or stay on. Is there a Fix for this? Thanks, Harold.

authors in Similar Stories

For the stories that are listed in the Similar Stories section, can you please include the Author's name? Many times I use the author's name to determine if I want to read the story (from favourite author to authors I avoid). Also, I often feel safer clicking the author's link first to see if I want to read the story based on the author's other stories and description of themselves.

Actually, the other information that might be helpful to put on the Similar Stories might be the category for each story. I have found that sometimes the stories are marked as similar because they share one tag with the main story. It might be the tag I'm least interested in.

font settings are not saved

i can adjust the font settings for the page/story i am currently watching.
but these settings are not stored, so when i refresh this story or load another story the font settings are back to the default setting

Pipe dream

What I would love is for the site to let me know when someone has rated a story. (We already have that feature for when somebody favorites a story). Of course, I can infer this from remembering how many ratings I had previously, and check that against how many I have now, but that requires a superb memory, especially if one has written and published lots of stories.

Alternatively, it might be less dramatic just to be signaled when a rating changes (for example, from 4.54 to 4.46, as one of mine just did, literally overnight). I would have preferred it go in the other direction, but such is life.

Thank you, JB Edwards

Does your device have a touchscreen?

I assume you are using Chrome as your browser?

Thank you. :D

Font size

I find the font sizes change too much between selections. +1 is a bit small and +2 becomes too large. +4 allows about 3 letters on the screen. If +2 could be about midway between existing 1&2 it would be terrific.
