Is this still happening? I am using an iPad with Safari and I can't reproduce the issue. It sounds like a JS issue, and we have been working on updating some code, so it makes sense, but I can't reproduce it here so far.

Thank you!

Yes it is Manu.Using M Edge. You click on more comments and it works but it automatically flips it up to the top of the page and you have to scroll back down. The other issues mentioned are also still happening. Tags don't open, font won't work and you get a message the box is empty when trying to post a comment.

Just another day in the sweat shop eh? :D

And just to add to your misery. Down at the bottom where you show a list of similar stories, if you click on the show more, you get a 404 error page.

Thank you for the additional info, with your help I was able to reproduce the problem with Edge. Working to fix it now!

I still cannot reproduce the errors with an iPad, but we'll keep testing on that report as well.

I'd really prefer the categories to be before the story. They really help me select what to read.

Searched in a section the other day, found a high rating story, about a quarter of the way through came across some content I don't read. Scrolled to the end and it was tagged.

I've found myself going to the last page before reading a story to check the tags.

Changing font on the fly

Occasionally Chrome on Android loses the font context and drops back to default. Usually after a longish wait or an unwanted screen refresh (Android Chrome doesn't leave rendered screens lying about so has to rerender them if you go wandering) and it is a right pain having to go back to page 1 to reset the fonts. Going back and forward can do this too. A quick method of getting to the fonts block mid story woulds be nice.

Thanks for checking this out Manu. I think it may be because the iPad I was using is old (iOS 10.3.3). I've tried briefly on an iPhone (iOS 13.3.1) and I'm able to change the font - I haven't checked out anything else. Maybe it's time to retire the iPad? :(

First Page

If you're on a subsequent page, then go back to page one, all you see is header and footer. You can clear it by hitting Refresh, but it's still a bug.

Just clicked on a link in the author forum for another author's stories. It took me to my own author page instead. I had to go back to the main site and look up the author instead.

False alarm. It turns out he found some way to put in a link that does that. I checked a few others and they were fine. Member has been advised his link is incorrect.

All seems to be working fine now! Many thanks for sorting this out! :)

I've noticed an error when it comes to stories with awards attached to them. Stories that have won one of the yearly Reader's Choice awards show as Monthly Contest Winners for whichever month they published in that year.

To clarify, I am referring to the note in the story info panel at the top of the page.

I am using an iPad pro with ios 13.3.1 at the end of a posted story it is not possible to click on one of the feedback stars. They don’t seem to function.

Illustrations

To see some Illustrations (Throbbs) I had to turn the Beta off, and then back on when I finished. I presume you haven't got around to illustrations yet!

Bug Report: safari on iPad in landscape

Steps to reproduce:
1) select and open story as per above in iPad via Safari browser, in landscape orientation.
2) change font size to +2
3) double tap text body to expand text to full screen width
4) page through to end of story. You will not be able to select a star rating until you reduce the text body to its original size, scroll up the page until the star ratings disappear, and then scroll back to the ratings. You can now select a star rating.

This behavior manifests using iOS 13.3.1 on an iPad Air 2.

No Illustrations

Using chrome browser, if click link to an illustration, doesn't show artwork, but does show comments associated with the file.

Tags are at the bginning under the tag symbol.

Thank you, I hadn't seen that. :)

Is there a way to see if I've already read the story without going to the last page and seeing what rating I gave it?

I've started several stories and after a few paragraphs or pages realised I've read it before.

Perhaps a mark at the side of the story on the results page if you have already rated it?

On the new story page, is there any way to make the Bold font darker?

On the old page, Bold really stood out.

On the new page, Bold sort of blends in.
