Welcome all! I'm C G Raven of CHINIA PEARL INN.
There are other Inn and clubs here each is good, each with it's own charm.
Rick's Rooftop...an OOC lounge is the oldest.
Meijii Inn OCC club is aplace of respectful questionig in the tradition of the Far East.
China Pearl is a sailor's place.
Check them all. Then you choose. They are where you can come and meet others. Kind of OOC=out of character and IC= in character. To get a feel for role playing.
Role-playing Hints
Faith if we start this it will be Angelvxxxin part two for me. Oh as I said before I love the avatar she just one last night with her 100th post.
Now Seemus I am saying "Good day you randyscotsman" that was a great fight last night. You wading into those Mayla pirates, claymore slicing and deicing.
Now Dirk here is our trusty "Quartermaster here at "CHINA PERAL".
If we don't have it here can get it. Any thing from good German beer and chocolate, to a Maxim gun and crew for the defense of the "Pearl" last night

A new breed of being has entered the landscape. He rides on the wind , and comes silently to you. He speaks not a word, but you know that he is there for you. He takes you under his cloak, to protect you from the hurrific amount of air that seems to follow him. And while under that cloak, you look up to see him gently staring at your eyes. His eyes are of a shade of color that you have never seen before, and you find yourself mesmerized. You do not realize that you are standing on your toes , in hopes that you might be able to see deeper into his face. As you rise up, his face descends to meet yours and as your lips meet, your heart begins to race as all of your past comes flooding back to you , and you seem to know that he is with you, reliving it all ! Your first crush, your first kiss, the first time a boy touched your body. Your first sexual experience and your first experimentation with your own sex. All the joy and sorrow, from beginning to end , comes back through you , for you to feel all over again. Your body responds to each memory, as if it was happening all over again. When your minds begins to slow down and your eyes begin to focus, you find yourself leaning against a tree , in the middle of the plains. You hold on to the tree, because you feel that if you let go, that your weary legs will betray you and let you fall. When you look around, you see him standing there , not very far from the tree, but too far for you to travel to him. You know somehow, that he has felt all that you have, and has added it to his own. You know that he is leaving but you can't seem to say anything . You can only smile and look toward him , as he returns the smile. And as you stand there, he seems to lift up , as the wind begins to blow again , and he slowly drifts away, with your memories .

Welcome aborad CattieGirl. Despite what my name says about experince, I'm still pretty much a newbie too. Still make mistakes and am still learning. But after a few possibly ackward posts, I think you'll find you get the hang of this forum rather easily. And it is a bith more fun compared to other forums where it's strictly disscussion.

Welcome Quiet One - with an intro like yours, you will have no difficulty finding a thread to join.

You both will notice there a couple of what are known as "OOC Clubs". For the most part, these are places where you can let your hair down, get comfortable, and just be yourself. If you are into socializing, these are the places to hang.
If you are into role play, however, the heart and soul of this board are the threads. And there are new popping up all the time. Most people feel a little intimidated, but please don't. Just find something that interests you, and ask the originator if it is alright to join. Most will find room for you.

The wind blows where it may
A steady wind seems to pull Him toward a small lighthouse in China. He feels warmth and emotions that He has never felt before, and realizes that they may be His own , for a change. He begins to drift toward the ocean, but stops for a moment , to partake of your life. He shelters you and at the same time, feeds off of you. He brings a feeling to bare that you have held inside for many years. Something that you were afraid to aknowledge , even to yourself.
He takes that , and wraps it in warmth, and you realize , that it is only a memory that was a learning process, for you. He leaves you with a feeling that it is okay to cry and you do so. He takes the part that hurts with Him, for He has never felt such sorrow. He lingers beside you, to make sure that you will be okay. He does not mean to hurt, but to enjoy your joy.
As He begins to drift away, He leaves you with a gift of wamth and security , that He felt last night , coming from His destination.
You feel it and revel in it, and wonder if He will pass by again. Then He is gone.

From what I've learned there are a couple of ways to get a story going...
One is to post a story idea and see if people join in.
Or, post a OCC thread with the story idea and invites with certain characters... asking people to PM you....so you can get to know them before you start writing...
Or, invite people by PM with your story idea and see if they will commit to it before you start.
And, lastly, a good way to meet some of the other writers and throw out story ideas is in one of the ongoing OCC threads...

Thanks for the welcome. I'm very new to literotica, new to chat, new to these boards, and new to role playing. Just over a week at this point. At least in the chat rooms I have found the role play the most difficult, it takes a lot of concentration to do it well, especially when starting with somebody new.
But I did meet up with one young woman yesterday who was patient enough with me to reset after a false start and to keep me to the straight and narrow. So by the time she let me off at my stop we were both.....
Enough said, she knew when to avoid details too.

A lot of fun threads out there, though some seem to be for a small group only (usually couples). Like SexyChele said, PM the creator, though sometimes it seems like you can just jump in. Some threads with OOC seem to actually be asking for folks who are intrested to chime in so that they can have a chance in the actual thread, which uses the same title, only without the OOC in the title.
