Happy halloween!
Another Halloween- another Halloween parade, production and insanity! I'm so tired that I'm just going to crawl into bed soon...too bad the damn dogs next door are going ballistic because of the trick-or-treaters! There just don't seem to be as many kids as I remember from my childhood. Poor kids, just another memory they won't get to have...no playing outside, riding your bike to the penny candy store (I know, what's that?)...everything is so controlled. Bummer- and of course, there's the fact that there were children still at school when I left! What a bummer for them!
Oh well...just another tirade! Happy candy eating!

Yeah, Halloween, like most "holidays," ain't what it used to be, and the kids today by and large won't ever know it the way kids in the days of yore new it... the thrill of wondering if the bigger kid in the monster mask was going to turn out to be your best friend, or roll you for your candy... was that gang coming down the street going to swap candy with you or chase you down the street... were you going to get away with TPing the neighbors yard or get caught... did anyone have the nerve to go ring the bell on the Scarey House in the neighborhood where you never, ever saw anyone home? Ah, those were the days!

This is going to be a bummer winter! That's for sure!
My weekend was relatively uneventful...had a good bye dinner with a good friend who's moving to Arizona...and went to a horse show. Pretty boring! Add to that the upsy-daisy stomach...i'm ready for the weekend to be over!
BUT- the Devils beat Montreal! Hooray!

Aw Slow, what's the matter? November is a fine month. I am not usually the holiday loving type, but somehow I am looking forward to the holidays this year! And let I point out, November has only just begin. Long way to go 'til the end of the month.
Yeah BT, when I voted we had fancy new touch screen machines. Big jobs, not the little laptop sized machines we've seen on TV. I have mixed feelings about this. Not that the old machines weren't falling apart, but there was something comforting about pulling that big red lever and knowing that it cranked a few gears to manually count your vote.

I'm just waiting for the pressure of this month to be over! My bosses are driving me absolutely crazy!!! At least I'm going to Tucson for Thanksgiving and then when I get back, it'll be the end of the month!
I got to experience that wonderful New Jersey traffic tonight while taking a friend to the airport. 45 minutes to get from the airport to the turnpike! yikes! and there was so much flooding! and of course, the weather forcast said- "light rain"
go figure!!!

hey there! saw a great band tonight (the amish outlaws) i don't know if they're really amish or menonite, but they were pretty good! it was fun being out and dancing, although it was embarrassing to be brought into the center of the dance floor to dance with the lead singer! crazy!
