hey there! saw a great band tonight (the amish outlaws) i don't know if they're really amish or menonite, but they were pretty good! it was fun being out and dancing, although it was embarrassing to be brought into the center of the dance floor to dance with the lead singer! crazy! the only bad thing- no gomez! maybe next time! hope everyone else is observing a very solemn veterans' day! hmmmmm go Devils! we won again! hooray!

Well if they were really Amish or Mennonites, they couldn't have been too orthodox about it, if they were playing in a club. Slow, it is so good to know that you got out and had a good time for a change! All that work? You deserve a good time out. Next time I see a band in floppy straw hats playing "Wild Thing" with some girl dancing with the singer, I'll know who it is.

And forget about the Devils, what about Rutgers football the other night? I am not much of a sports fan, but even I know that was a pretty spectacular game.

I found out that a few of the guys really were raised as Mennonites or Amish, but when they had to decide if they wanted to go out in the world or stay in their community, they decided the world.

Wow. The Amish Outlaws are for real. They even have a web site, www.amishoutlaws.com. You really have to respect people who make a serious life changing decision like leaving such a tight night and strict community they grew up in like they did. Another one that springs to mind, and I can't think of his name right now, but last year there was an Orthodox Jew who made a big splash in the media as a hip hop artist. Too bad I can't remember his name right now, but I am sure someone will remember it.

Yeah, that WAS the sun, but it's been follwed by a chill. Ah well, winter had to some sooner or later. Nice signature - perfect for the suburbs. If only the Clash had written a song about being all lost on a jug handle, we could have adopted it as our state song.

One holiday, my husband and I picked out all our presents together, so we both knew what we were going to get. Out of money, and still wanting to surprise him, I thought of a gift that was perfect for him. I got an old baby food container and filled it half with honey and half with sugar. I then put a label on it that read, edible exfoliater. Then I ran a bath with candles, flowers and the works. He loved it! The honey and sugar mix is a great skin exfoliater for the bathtub, and it’s edible so it works in the bedroom too. If the taste is a little strong, add a dab of vanilla extract.

hah, apparently i'm the loser. I found two or three good friends on campus and invested my time in them instead of with a bunch of people. Then one of them got a boyfriend i hate and the other got other friends.

Oh well. I'm going home tomorrow (later todoay?) So i'll be in somerset county/central jersey.

Ammre, don't even think of yourself as a "loser." Think of yourself as more discerning than the rest of them. I remember it being hard to make friends in college I thought so many of the other students were not on my wavelength. They were content, hell, fixated on drinking beer 24/7. I was trying to figure life out. Took a while to find and make some good friends I could relate to on an adult level. You'll find yours too.
