Obama Continues The Surrender

We are on the fourth Secretary of Defense in five years, for openers. According to Admiral Robert Papp USCG, Obama told general officers to accept his gay agenda or get out. Google it.

I did... This is a quote from him

He said:

We were called into the Oval Office and President Obama looked all five service chiefs in the eye and said, "This is what I want to do." I cannot divulge everything he said to us, that's private communications with the Oval Office, but if we didn't agree with it – if any of us didn't agree with it – we all had the opportunity to resign our commissions and go do other things.

Got anything else?

Btw...kicking gays out of the military was idiotic at best.

Actually, Hagel (a Republican) is the third, but only the second appointed by President Obama. There have been only three total in President Obama's 2 terms. Gates (879 days under Obama 764 under Bush), Panetta (608 days), and Hagel (715 days). So no, not fourth Sec of Def in 5 years.

His "gay agenda"? You mean that the military can't discriminate against homosexuals and that command officers are expected to follow and enforce that directive? No problem with that at all. That doesn't sound like an unreasonable expectation of an officer. Follow orders or get the fuck out.

Names, I'm still waiting for names of commanders who disagreed with the President and were terminated.

Now, compare that to this:

Because I can name more than a handful that were terminated under the previous administration for voicing opposition to the war in Iraq.. and they turned out to be right.

I had heard that some generals were cashiered for telling W what he did not want to hear, i.e., that it would be impossible to occupy Iraq effectively with fewer than 400,000 troops.

Which is worse, do you think?

Obama has cashiered more four star generals than any President in history. Before Obama there was one in the early 50s. The opinion of many retired general officers is that Obama is purging and the officer corps in order to politicize it.

Was that Truman and MacArthur?

Some time ago, I suggested a planned coup. I'm not really predicting one but, if somebody wanted to pull one off, one thing he would do would be to get rid of old time officers and replace them with others who were more personally loyal to him.

Names, I'm still waiting for names of these generals who were terminated for disagreeing with President Obama. Your reluctance to provide such leads to the conclusion that you are, as usual, full of shit.

I understand now what you meant by having me on "selective ignore". It seems to mean that you will ignore any statements or questions that show exactly how willfully misinformed you are.

That only proves that those retired generals are cranks, as vets sometimes are, in my experience. What is your point?

And even among your idols who see and know all, opinions are like...

If you really want such a list, here is a partial one: http://agenda21radio.com/?p=3822

Here is a longer one: http://www.rense.com/general96/listof.html

My point is Obama is unfit for office, sets a very dangerous precedent in his politicization of our officer corps and the military.

Yet you can't actually point out any of this so called politicization of the officer corps. Just vague references that are meaningless. Meanwhile I gave specific instances of officers being trained or retired for damn good reasons.

Your continued reluctance to back your assertions with examples only shows that I was correct in my first assessment. You're full of shit, which is no surprise to anyone who's paid attention the past several years.

Being a walking talking asshole yourself, you'll never be in need of a popcorn fart for an opinion.

One more example of this sad old Marines obsession with all things anal. I'll bet his comrades never dropped the soap around him.

I daresay that precedent was set by Lincoln.

Did Truman have to cashier anyone when he desegregated the Armed Forces? If he did, that would have been the right thing to to. Getting rid of MacArthur was also the right thing to do.

Bunch of crap, Obama is the very worse occupant of the White House in history.

Cashiering officers who try to tell you you need at least 400,000 troops to occupy Iraq is a lot worse than cashiering officers who balk at uncloseted gays in the ranks.

Please list exactly which of these officers in the list you provided were cashiered for disagreeing with President Obama.

I'll give you Gen. McChrystal. He had a legitimate beef with President Obama, but you do not go over your superior's head and whine to the press and expect to keep your job.

I noticed that the two Marine generals relieved of their commands by the Marine Corps Commandant were on your lists. They were relieved for cause, a failure of command leadership, which resulted in many unneccesary Marine deaths in the Camp Bastion surprise attacks......should they have NOT been removed?

Lincoln did replace some high ranking officers, such as McClellan, Burnside and Pope when they proved to be incompetent. I don't know of anybody else who has been fired except for MacArthur, and I agree that was probably the right thing to do. There may have been others, but not in such large numbers.

Some of the "reasons" were probably just excuses to get rid of officers who might not toe Obama's ideological line. We shall see what happens over the next two years and after that.
