Obama's Accomplishments in 2014

He said

Cruz is to the right of Boehner...

Meaning Boehner is to the left?

Of course, but he is framing it as if there is some problem with being on the right as a Republican. That is supposed to be a given. The problem is not Cruz and Gohmert, the problem is seniority and Boehner.

IT'S MORE LIKE FUCKING FACTS. TAKE YOUR OLD TIRED CRUSTY ASS TO BED. Don't you have a woman to please?! Fuck sake!!!?

He lives in a fantasy world...and when you press him for reality he just starts with childish shit talk, then acts all indignant when you do it right back to him so he can retreat into his iggy bunker. The guy is a disgrace to humanity and the nation not to mention a downright coward scared of the truth his politihack nature can't deal with.

The only women who touch that kind of loon get paid damn well. Besides, vettey is far to obsessed with anal sex and poop to be with a woman.

Boehner and McConnell are to the left of the majority of Republicans. If conservatives do not gain control of the Republican party soon there will be a third party and the Republican party will die.

Cruz and Gohmert are in line with 60% of Republicans.

I understand that you would prefer that Republicans be "Democrat lite" and compliant to the wishes of the Democratic Party minority, but actual conservatives would prefer otherwise if that is OK with you.

I haven't looked at a chart to see how far left they are of the majority or Republicans but the leaders should be inline with the majority of their party. It makes no sense that the person who effectively speaks for you doesn't share your views.

Actual conservatives are a minority and are doing quite a bit of harm both to the country as a whole and the credibility of the Republican Brand.

While the entire American country (Democrats included) are too far right and that's a bit of a bitch for us. I'm not even sure what Democrat-lite means in this phrasing.

Hehe.

Is it horrible if I say they might even have some...difficulties? Mental difficulties...

Actual Conservatives make up most of Congress.
In the 113th Congress, the current party alignments as of November 24, 2014, are

•House of Representatives: 234 Republicans, 207 Democrats (including the 5
Delegates and the Resident Commissioner), and 3 vacant seats.

•Senate: 53 Democrats; 2 Independents, who caucus with the Democrats; and 45 Republicans.

I don't know how many were conservatives, but most likely many of the Repubs. are, and HOR currently has more.

The 144th Congress, I am not yet aware

But is the entire American too far right? How else did over 30 states since Obama took the seat agree to gay marriage?

The Right is slowly but surely giving up the idea that they can fight gay marriage that's how.

I actually don't even know how it happened lol I was hoping you could tell me. Seems like a huge and peculiar compromise of values...that word we were talking about earlier.

It's not really a compromise, they are just flat out loosing.

Kinda like the whole MJ legalization....if Reohz like Vettey had their way they would sound the Federal Supremacy clause alarm, give 10A and the will of the people the finger and arrest half the country at National Guard gunpoint.

And what will the left use to corral the gay vote when that happens, as it will? Gays tend to be in Republican tax brackets.

Gays tend to be in Republican tax brackets.

 Gays are everywhere. They come from every social class and every ethnic or religious background. They are not more likely than straights to be found in any income bracket.

What Bot said, it's such a done deal that it's a bad fight. Honestly this country as a whole however is quite conservative, we're starting to lose a bit of the religion though. If Republicans would just shut up about abortion and gay marriage they'd clean up country wide. They don't even have to change their views just treat the religious crazies the same way liberals treat the Green movement or the socialist movement.

Green: What new regs are you gonna put in to protect the environment?
Socialists: What new programs are you gonna put in place to ensure lives of the middle and lower class are improved.
Democrats: None. We might use some of the ones on the books but you get nothing.
Green/Socialist: WHAT?
Democrats: Yeah, of course you can always go vote for the other guy, he's gonna destroy the existing programs and regulations. . .or you can not vote for me which when it comes down to it is the same as voting for him just less work!
Green/Socialist: We fucking hate you, but a lot less than we hate that other douche. We're totally not coming to the Mid-Terms by the way.
Democrats: You never do.

You do not know what the fuck you are talking about. (as per usual.) Gays are a PRIZED high-end marketing segment. They are FAR more likely to be a double income no kids couple. They NEVER have unplanned pregnancies. If they choose to be parents they tend to sensibly wait until their later 20's to early thirties.

The best way to find yourselves in poverty is to have a child when you are under 25.

I already know why whoever doesn't want weed legalized, doesn't want it legalized. Same as the crack-AIDS thing. When there's a scapegoat, a common enemy, a boogeyman, it gives cops and politics something to do. Somehow crime keeps the system going. Without it, everyone is useless. When a simple little herb that kinda does cool stuff to ya is treated like fucking coke and meth and heroine, (not as bad as alcohol yet alcohol is legal ), there's a reason to make money off whoever gets penalized or arrested for it. Sigh.

Given the south is solid red and New York the North East and California are solid blue I call bullshit that people primarily vote tax brackets. I'm sure there's a correlation but nothing like you're imagining.

But they won't. Republicans could probably get a filibuster proof majority if they simply shut the fuck up on anything religious based. Up to and including if the Dems choose not to put God Bless America on their mission statement. No change to policy or belief necessary, just shut up so it's harder to bring up fifty YouTubes of you basically calling me an immoral bastard out to fuck your dogs and kids because I don't see a reason why my gay friend shouldn't have the same tax breaks as you that I think you getting an abortion is your business and by the way Santa is white in the same way that Superman is. Sure he is but. . .really do you need to have two weeks of anger over it? And is it really that important that I'm no more interested in your Merry Christmas than you are of Happy Hannukah or. . .whatever happy word goes before Kwanzaa?

Laughs.

Absolutely perfect political analysis!

THe so-called social conservatives..(even though there is nothing conservative about being a social conservative) elected Reagen and no one since. Fuck them.

I have a family friend that just got re-elected to congress. I don;t know how seniority works. If he had not done the honorable thing and quit after 3 terms as he pledged when elected on a platform of term limits he would be a Senator by now.

Anyway. He is like 2nd, maybe third term for this second go around of being a rep.

On facebook today in his comments section some idiot posts "I want to see legislation introduced to outlaw all abortion!" What an idiot. Not a snowballs chance in hell of passing. Not a snowballs chance of being signed into law. not a snowballs chance of being upheld. Just shut up, idiot.

-snip-

It's one of those times that I wish I wasn't right.

Now the 'snag' on the socialist bit is that americans clearly want many of those programs they simply are loathe to be called socialists It's at the point now where my response has become, okay but what's the actual problem?

No, not Reagan, he would be read out of today's GOP as too liberal. I mean the likes of Cruz, Gohmert -- the ones to the right even of Boehner and McConnell.

Of course, but he is framing it as if there is some problem with being on the right as a Republican. That is supposed to be a given. The problem is not Cruz and Gohmert, the problem is seniority and Boehner.

No, I am framing it as if to be in the right wing of the GOP is to be an extremist. I have nothing against that as such, I am perfectly aware that my progressive, social-democratic politics are on the left extreme of the spectrum WRT to the American political center-of-gravity; but you do not seem to realize that you and Gohmert, etc., are equally far out there on the RW fringe.

I think extremist is an extreme word to use in this country. =\

As noble as your democratic conscious is.

I think his point was that nobody with their ideals has won since Reagan. I'm not sure how accurate I think that is.

Not remotely. You can clearly see the difference between how Warren who especially for an elected official is radically liberal and Hillary Clinton who's basically a Democrat because her husband is and because she's a woman. Otherwise she'd fit in just fine on the otherside of the aisle. (Especially if you, like me thinks she shuts up about shit she knows the base doesn't want to hear) or the difference between Romney who would fit in fine on the Dem side, and Bachman or Walker.
