Well as expected things have not worked out as planned.

I got the car, latter then expected, had to pay a bit more then planned. I suppose I was expecting that though. Got the A though.

As for the girl. My god, figures I fall for the fucked up one. I really would not be surprised if I found her hiding under her desk the next time I visit. Considering that, I went at this totally backwards. I should have slowly approach her, built a relationship over many, many months. But no I'm rash and I told her about what, 3 weeks in. Now every time I touch her, ever millisecond I look at her too long, every compliment I give her, she panics.

It got so bad I took a step back, she was happy about that move. Still trying to figure out how to proceed from here.

After a lot of probing an pain, I've decided her ambiguous reply is a no. Wish she had told me that from the start, would have saved me soooo much agony.

She is only 19 though, and I guess, not as mature as I had thought.

So things being the way they are, I'm not someone you settled for, I'm not the second choice. If shes not into me, then we have a problem, and shes not the one I've been looking for.

False alarm, sucks though, I really thought I had finally found what I wanted, I really thought she had it in her.

You know the first night I walked her home she invited me in and then sprawled out on her bed right in front of me. If that's not a good sign the what the fuck is. Shoot I remember thinking, I got condoms in the car, naw this ones more then that.

So heres another state of my awesome address.

Things are going very well. Earned 3 As and a B+ this quarter, well, I think I earned 4 As but whatever. It really was a great quarter though, I feel like I've reach the level I wanted to achieve when I started college. Feels good, now just a few more units and I get the paper to prove it too.

That chick I stumbled all over. A few weeks after I told her I was done with it, she contacted me and said she had a tone of guilt because she started dating some guy shortly after she told me shes not. Suddenly everything became perfectly clear to me, she was a chronic liar, it explains everything. The instance I realized that, my trust for her was gone. I'd already over extended it and this totally collapsed everything. It's amazing how such a basic piece of knowledge can put something like her out of mind, and let me sleep good again.

After her I realized a few things. The odds of finding "the one", are so slim I'd be stupid to invest everything in it. If I was gambling with really bad odds but a huge payoff, I'd be making little bets on side games for fun. I guess I always knew that, but I never believed it. I think that has changed.

So I started working this girl from class, shes nice, gave me a lot of looks, and is single. I'll see if shes interested in some fun, just need to bring up the right moment. But shes out of the country for the summer so...

Summer should be good though. I'll actually get to see my friends.

Hopefully I'll make some extra money.

And if all goes right germany will be world champs. The first game was amazing, I thought this team was incredible. then followed the next two games and I'm falling asleep from boredom.

Sunday: germany vs england

That should wake up the team. Sorry england, but lets face it, this cup you just plain suck. It happens.

The USA has also made it to the round of 16, awesome. It's been coming, and they deserve it. I think they'll probably go even further.

And Saturday, argentina vs mexico is gonna be fun to watch.

friends can be made and kept with little to no socializing. but i don't feel that you can force or manufacture friendships, any more than you can do so for romantic relationships. it's about being in the right place, at the right time, with the right people. friendships blossom from a common interest first and foremost...in your particular program of study, surely there is a group of folks you see day in and day out. most of the folks i hung out with in college shared my major (being anthro, there weren't many of us). others were dorm neighbors. a couple were drug hook-ups. all the rest were affiliates of any of the above. a friendship with one person generally leads to a friendly acquaintance with 3.

Well yes, but are they friends if you see them when you happen to run into them, and that only in 5 minute intervals? No previous experience to go on, just, “hi, small talk, small talk, see you when it happens”.

I feel like I only have single serving friends.

And I need social. I’m deprived. I need people that know me and can hang.

Not to mention the cuties, how can I just pass up so many cuties.

I got a lot of money coming to me this year, so at the moment I'm working on a plan that would extend my time in school even more, but I would be doing it abroad, VU in Melbourne is what I'm shooting for.

The application is gonna be a pain to get done on my schedule, especially since I need recommendations.

With a little luck, I'll spend a year in Australialand.

Tomorrow I’ll go work out till I can’t lift my keys, and I’ll see this gorgeously cute chick I share a lot with. I still can’t figure out if I like her more than a friend, and if she’s interested in more than friends. I think that initial explosion of attraction is missing, it’s more like when looking at art and finding more and more of what you like. Amazing ass though, and eyes.

The best student in my class at college (Astronomy Major, graduated in the minimum of 4 years with the max possible score, landed a PhD while still finishing at a prestigious Denmark University) was also the most fit and buff of all students: smart, athletic, handsome and friendly.

He was able to be a straight A student, while exercising and having a girlfriend ... his ability to focus was incredible.

mmmmm, Melbourne winters *are* cold.. but not the bitterly cold of the Northern Hemisphere. You'd be lucky to get it below zero, unless you're living in the mountain ranges.

Went to a party tonight and despite my social isolation I still got it. The hottest chick in the room was giving my eyes the whole night. I must confess though I am looking pretty bad boy right now, with healing wounds and old scars, I look like some kind of adrenaline junkie that just stepped out of a fight. Was a total gentlemen though, I swear it. Which probably turned her on even more.

So lets see where my awesome is at these days.

Australia, the minor thing didn't work out. Apparently Australia is highly secretive about its trade secrets in biology. No foreigners allowed.

Whatever.

So I decided to round off the year with a business minor. I get paid for doing it, so why not. However I have discovered that business majors are the most astounding slackers I have ever come across. they are worse than pre med. WTF!!

On the other hand it gives me an opportunity to gain some leadership skillz, which I think I may have started off wrong by going for team leadership instead of boss leadership. So now I got a bunch of slackers who think they are in-expendably pro. Whatever, all my team projects we still get independent grades, so as long as I get my A and the presentation looks good.

I'm gaining valuable experience though in international videoconferencing, business analysis and international business start up.

So, what do I look better in, a lab coat or a suit...
I still don't like leashes/ties

Australia isn't over yet though. I'm planing to go this winter, so it will be summer their. I accidentally let my passport expire though, so that will be a bitch.

I graduate in a few weeks, and I have a few hundred saved up for climbing gear. I'll spend the rest of the summer on the rocks.

Ironically, I also met an amazing girl. Except I'm not looking anymore because I intend to travel for a while and don't want to be glum about leaving the girl home. She's in a relationship anyway. She's great though cause when I talk to her I just instantly feel, "wow, she is actually normal". Which says a lot mind you. I could see her as a really good long term friend, she is that stable.

Yup so life is good, and busy. And I love the sensation of impending change coming along soon.
