Old School Musicianship… Rock and Roll.. Jazz… Blues… Big Band even…

Pushing Up Daisies (Love Alive) - 2016
Song by Brothers Osborne

It's so hot here 95 degrees & with the humidity being 99%
I just thought the name of this song was relevant...

While listening to the last song, I remembered the old joke from the 70s when Paul McCartney was really successful with Wings, and people would supposedly say "Paul McCartney was in a band before Wings?" I never knew if that was a made-up joke or if people were just clueless.

So for the not-so-clueless, here's some Paul with Wings!

LOVE this one!

I heard a brief piece of this song earlier so I had to give it a full listen.

The Dave Clark Five - Because

Lately, I've been listening to a "My Mix" from youTube. Not sure how they made that (I sure didn't). But they keep playing this song, which I liked already... but I've been really enjoying hearing it more often. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Elvis Presley - Polk Salad Annie (Elvis Live Version)

Heard a bit of this tonight, first time in ages. Always liked the vocals in this.

Lou Christie - Lightnin' Strikes

This came out a couple years before I was born. I first heard it on an album of oldies I picked up in the late 70s, had a lot of 50s groups on it. You don't find that sort of stuff anymore. Even record stores are slowly becoming a thing of the past

Royal Teens - Short Shorts
