Honestly, Poohlive, I dont see why we cant have pretty much control over what goes on. I dont think the intention of the thread was to get us all together to fight the gods with a united front, but I could be wrong.

Okay, I want subplots.

Are characters are individuals, with their own stories, who just happen to interact from time to time. There is a central plot, but it's not an 'all for one!' type quest, people have their own agendas, and some may never interact with the rest of us.

By the way, I sent a PM to Lady_Siren.

There are still no species other than humans.

Demons don't have a real shape. They have different powers, but basically lack a true form.

As for Whitehands....well,....let's just say you don't want to see them. And as I doubt anyone will be hunting down the Blue Temple's vault, it really doesn't matter.

ANd then there's the Gods, but they're NPCs.

I am thinking that maybe Deblan had a relative that lives in the village that is under attack and sent a homing pigeon to get him a message to come help. That way they can arrive at the back of the invasion.

That whole thing with the gems and such I just threw in on the spot, poohlive is just playing along. I'm not sure why my character wanted the gems in the first place, but because Kyleen has stonecutter and at this point doesn't even know it is a sword of power I thought it best to have something she can eventually cut. Being that the town is mostly made of wood, I had to think up something.
Besides, poohlive surprised me with Garrett knowing Kyleen already so I thought I'd give him a bit of a surprise back.
pooh - if you have any ideas for the gems then feel free to use them, they're just bumping around in Kyleen's clothes right now I figure we are all acomplished enough players to take it all in stride

lol, we already have a history together. And it makes for a nice side plot besides.
As for the gems, I could come up with osme clever things for them, but then again I think back to the rules of this world.

That,....is something to think about.

I suppose, yes there could, but they would have nowhere near the power that the swords have, and would probably only last so long.

You have to realize, any objects of magic other than the swords are either guarded my the wizards of the world, who prctice their art in secret and guard themselves from the rest of the world, or are collected by the Blue Temple to be stowed away deep within their vault.

I suppose a few things could pass through their attenion, but they'd be extremely weak and only useful once.

Except for demons, which could be called 'things'.

Have an idea for the Gem everyone is searching for unless anyone has something else in mind.. How do you feel about a fist sized diamond kept in some mysterious underground shrine. The diamond mounted in a huge stone carved skull reminiscent of that indianna jones movie. Call it the "Eye of the God" or something and the town based on some weird cult.... hehehe

Actually, FireSprite, not that I don't love your idea, but I sort of had it planned that the evil soldiers were searching for one of the swords of power. My sword of power, in fact, and I was going to have this huge fight where we kept losing and losing until finally we realized that it was a sword of power, and I took it up, and then finally we got to winning....
Except that now we've got hardly any evil people left to be losing too, so I had to scrap that idea.
Hey Grandmage? Can anyone take up a God? Not just be a god for the entire role play, but simply borrow him a little bit to bring a few people back from the dead and have a good old round of zombie killing?
