OOC: It takes a Village...Strategy Game Thread

Yes those all sound like good ideas....and next turn I would start building them. Though keep in mind a trading post means you have things to trade. My lsit of structures by no means is complete. It is a guideline and I am always open to player ideas. Though I often consider things like a market one of the more common things a village would have though small. Some players....like our Egyptian player who left to care for her newborn son did some very impressive economic things. Her character became very wealthy and she prospered. May want to go back a bit and read her turns. Anyway your off to a good start.

Re: Fortress and Castle

I hope Mantra u and Jagged will like to consider this

Fortress- A defensive structure with wooden or low stone wall a bit away from village/town/city/capital on key paths leading to the settlement. Soldiers can be garrisoned here where you can have barracks, Armory and other small training grounds. No family lives with soldiers in fort. But being satellite millitary centre soldiers form better fighting units and can be trained with no distraction. Can store sources for upto 15days in wooden walled forts and 1 month in stone walled forts.

Castle- Connected directly with the settlement and has large stone walls with all facilities for training and storage. Family lives with soldier being connected with the settlement. Advance training of troops are done here to better levels once trained in Forts or Millitary academy. Castle act as first line of defence in case of attack on settlement and can be supported by troops from nearby forts. Supplies are present for 6 monts to 1 year depending if Castle is Small, Medium or Large i would take supplies like 6, 9, 12 monts respt.

Millitary Academy- A place where Veterans Impart training to young/ new soldiers.

I hope with modifications these can be used.

What do you guys think?

A little rough dear but I like it...mantra why not see what you can do and combine your efforts. I am sure this will be useful for all players.

hey guys have you forgotten this rp?????

*smiles*

Never fear my lady, Jagged hasn't forgotten us. In fact, this thread has weathered the test of time and is still going. Simply put, Jagged has real life issues to deal with as to many of us and consider that it takes time for him to compile a decent turn replying to all that we do. Then there are several of us for him to reply to.

Be paitent, we will all have our time in the sun. :rose:

Greetings all,

Well, the family and I just returned from a tour of the City of Bath, to include the original Roman baths there. I must say, I'm impressed yet again with the Romans and needless to say, I'm inspired.

Do hurry Jagged. I need to kill somethin now :D
