Swamp I'll try and answer your questions IC. If I don't find a way I'll come back and answer them here.

DT, you'll be writeing as well as any of us soon enough, you seem good understanding yourself.

Maka have you read "The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy," if so your character needs a towel. After all the towel is the second greatest invention right after the Pan Glatic Gargle Blaster.

I've always written, since I was a child, but coming to Lit has actually helped my writing. So figure. I also was introduced to ieSpell here (see the link in my sigline) and use it (when I remember) to check posts before hitting the submit button. So much easier than cutting and pasting!

If I may suggest to everyone a GREAT book "How to Write a Damn Good Novel." Priceless tips in a no bullshit format.

Good night everyone!

Man, I'm really tempted to let the Crusher destroy Bay City this time. Then all the new characters can all be thrown together as the city is evacuated, and they are all moved inland to Bridges. But, while we're thinking about that . . .

Morgoth, the police are better prepared for you this time, but you're also better armoured. Even their armour-piercing rounds will only sting, but the tear gas should have some effect on the Crusher. The police are trying to keep the Crusher in one area long enough for the fighter jets to arrive and rain missiles on him (adding to the general destruction).

Cats, when Nia wakes up she should quickly realize (from radio news or police officers talking) that there is a monster loose in the city. She has a temporary ID card, and is free to leave the building, but is expected to notify the police as to where she is staying. She can continue staying at the half-way house if she wants.

Faith and Michael are far enough from the action to be safe for now. They should get to know each other, and then I'll have Detective Price show up with news about the Crusher.

Ghost and Symphony are right in the middle of the action, and are in serious danger from the Crusher. Ghost might be able to survive a fight with the thing, but Symphony would be killed easily if he confronted it.

Nikki could still be near the Crusher scene (where she'll spot Ghost), or could have gone off to the Sejealan market to cause her own havoc. Or she could have followed Nia and ended up at the half-way house by the police station.

I had intended to write Kell's and Mary's fight today but my Dad is flying in tomorrow to spend the week with us.

I'm sure you all know how that goes! So I've been dust bustin' instead of writing and am all pooped out.

The Crusher's taking all comers! So whoever wants to, go ahead and try.
As for the new development: Since the Crusher(the personality) is too insane to properly use its telepathy, it does so very rarely. However, with Dan Williams becoming the dominant personality, be sure that this will come into play. This is just telepathy. Don't expect him to be imploding people with it. But he can read your mind. Right now, he's inexperienced with it. He can only read minds if he lets his subconscious take over for a time(the fearful personality). However, he is training it up. Sooner or later, he'll be able to use telepathy, fly, and use his matter agitation all at once (think of the fun we'll have then :nana: ) But that is another day...

Morgoth, did I okay telepathy for the Crusher? I don't think so, and it seems really unrelated to his other powers. If it's cool with you, I'd rather keep him purely physical. Physically, he can flatten anything (and I love the carnage descriptions you're doing), but he shouldn't know about the incoming planes.

Even if he was telepathic (and he shouldn't be), searching a city of millions of people for specific thoughts is a very advanced power.

After all, since no force we've encountered yet can stop him, the psychic arena seems to be his only weakness. And everyone needs a weakness. Remember, any of the other characters could be easily killed by something as simple as a bullet.

Which reminds me, he does still need to breathe, so at least have him slowed a little by the tear gas.

You did okay telepathy and he even uses it a little bit in his first post, but I will effectively delete it from his arsenal. As for the tear gas: that was blown away when he threw the heat out in all directions.

Thanks Morgoth. Sorry to change my mind on you there. I don't know what I was thinking when I approved telepathy in the first place. My bad.

And the heat burning away the gas is cool and makes sense.

ok now since my char. is now aroudn half-dead this set shim up to be found by one fo the other characters besides Crusher.
ok so as to stop any confusiona dn stop any questions my char,. will probably be out cold for a bout a day or so if found and put into better surroundings(such as a hospital or safehouse)if not ill probably be out for a hell fo a lot longer,so hoepfully someone here will be kidn enough to help me out^_^

Wait a second powers have to be related? Well crap there goes the ability to pull the sun out of the sky and slamm it on people. I rather liked the idea of destroying the world too.

Okay I got all of that okay, now to actully read the thread.

Cats: are you going to join the fight?
If so, PM me so we can plan it out.

I'm now waiting for Micheal to post?

Or am I to go first?

I was waiting for you to post, but whichever you prefer.

If I should go, could I have a description of your character?

Faith Honai
Race: Born in Locrir, Mother Revan
Occupation: College Student, Journalism
Age: 20
Height: 5 8
Weight 130

Coloring: Unnameable black curly hair and green eyes, very slender and fit due to kick boxing classes. (A suggestion by one of her professors who said "A young pretty investigative reporter better be able to take care of herself.")

Faith is new to the current city that hold Price (& et al) on the force (Bay City, Argo). She's a student, but she wants to become a GREAT reporter. Her plans were somewhat upset when, while here on a student visa, a dictator invaded and her funds from home were cut off. Not to mention reporters are typically NOT Dictator's best friends. She has become the Gifted voice in Argo's main newspaper, and has been the key reporter on several instances in the city such as the Drowned Woman sighting and the Kate Beckett capture.

Faith has a few skills that make her job easier such as some lock picking skills, photography, speaks the common langs of the Phrygia continent and ASL (or equivalent) as one of her 5 siblings is deaf.

Faith is from Locrir and has a large upper middle class family who aren't entirely behind her career choice. But from the time she was very young she's wanted to know why things happen, the hidden forces that move the world, and tell others about them.

Now, basically stranded, she struggles to do the best she can on her own, truly, for the first time in her life. She's moved in with Price (and never actually got around to asking if she could, but hasn't seem to minded much) and her name is well known, but not her face since she doesn't post a photo with her byline.

She's athletically slim and tends to wear tight cloths made of a stretchy fabric and now leather coats and a black helmet to go with her green and black silent motorcycle. She has wild black ringlets and green eyes, an elfin pointed face and a quick smile. She doesn't get angry easily, but still takes everything seriously. She looks for the inner-connected-ness of things, and will often take leaps of logic that prove correct when looking back after the fact.

She's a great blend of light-hearted fun and serious kick ass reporting.

Anything else you need to know?

Glad Crusher and Nia are playing nice together. MOrgoth, sorry for the confusion, but Nia doesn't have a sai, she was just thinking about one.

Nia has the Crusher beat on speed, but she's totally outclassed for raw power. She should be able to recover from any physical wound though, so Morgoth, don't feel you have to pull your punches just because she's a PC. If the Crusher wants to burn her, or rip her in half, go for it, and we'll find out how fast she regenerates.

Ok. Thanks. What weapon does she have, though? Katana? Knife? Hand-to-hand? As for the ability to recover from physical wounds, the Crusher has very fast regeneration, so Cats, feel free to do what you like.

Is sai spelled sai or sia? My spell check doesn't think eitehr is right. I'm pretty sure it's the first one.

Yes Nia is completely un armed, well she will be if crusher plays to much. She also might end up unleged too, for a while any how.

Maybe I should of been more clear with the weapon. It worked flawlessly in my mind but Nia is my character and I try to keep tabs on what the character has to use.

Morgoth did you get the PM I sent you teh otehr day?

It's Sai, sometimes if spell check doesn't do a word I want I just google it. Either it will come up with the right thing, or it will ask "Did you mean sai?"
