OOC: Loa Blood

hi im going to enter in this thread...

im extremely new to the board so this is my first thread... anyway .. if anyone is going to that after concert party thats where I'll be...


I figure I was hired as entertainment for the party....


here the bio for the character....


name : Rosa
Age : 21 (looks 18)
race: (the one with golden skin and black hair)

Basically she stands at about five feet. Her eyes are a mayple syrup color (if thats not the normal color then its because of blood). she has long black wavy hair.. she walks around in a dark shapeless jacket in its pocket she has a tape player.. it plays a belyydancing music.. she uses that to get away..... underneath its her dancing costume.. its a blood red color.. the pants are made from sheer veils in the same color they are connected to solid panties and a solid cuff at the ankles when she stands you cant tell their seperate veils until she walks .. its the same whith the top is a sloid bra which is a little off the shoulder and the sleeves are long conected to at the wrist with cuffs the same as the ankles.. the whole top looks like its a shirt .. below the bra is sheer red fabric like the veils which splits in the center.. so when she moves you get glimpses of skin.. her hairs is knoted with veils in her hair and the last covers her head and hides face save for her eyes which is always covered in khol. She grew up as an orphan has no idea who or what race she is.. she ran away from whatever institutution that kept hold of her... the only thing tied to her past or who she is .. is this funny mark on her hip .. a crescent moon. its been there for as long as she can remember.. so she just forgets it even there... She constantly searches for some meaning to her existance..

to make ends meet she dances for entertainment.. (bellydancing) .. she is really good so she tends to get asked to perform in ritzy places.. she asks only one thing in return that once she is done she is not asked to perform any other duties to the host...

Power: when she's dancing she has the ability to calm people. She uses her body as a weapon. she is a very well endowed woman her body has curves which tend to put carnel thoughts into anyone's head. For being as short as she is .. the out fit she's wearing creates the illusion of having long legs.. Once she calms them down she can put suggestions in their heads... for example.. once she got caught and the host tried to take advantage of her.. so she said she would do a private dance for him.. she danced he was put into a "calm" mood .. she then told him he should sleep .. and he fell asleep.. she got away...

Weakness: .. she is extremely fearful of violence and will do anything to prevent it from happening... if she gets caught into a situation... she'll try her best to avert it... whatever it takes.. she'll do it..

ANd yes id like it if Symphony was invited to the party,maybe get a duet wiht our new character by the LadyRozes?or maybe have some fun with Dani?who knows!i dont^_^(my normal state of mind)
P.S.if i sound all chipper and happy rihgt now its 'cause im on nyquil extra strength(i had to use ALOT,im too bigX_X)and im high on it or somethin'^_^

erm..is it alright if i make an offshoot of a 3rd char.not really one jus like a lil side story.
My idea is that the antmen on the island somehow get to teh mainland,and start a type of hive colony there,i'd like ot play as one of the collective worker/soldiers?

That sounds cool, DT. I like the antmen and am totally interested in exploring their society. Are you sure you'd rather have your antman character based on the mainland rather than on Dracon Island, where you could interact with Rufus and the Crusher?

Anyway, it is possible, and interesting, that a small boat, piece of floating debris, etc. got past the Argon and GAIA defenses around Dracon Island before the force field was set up. The small craft would drift at sea for a while, and then wash up near Bay City.

Even if only one antman made it off the island, it could still start a colony by itself. Antman venom turns humans into more antmen, so with every bite there are more of them.

(Note that Rufus' body is technically dead, his blood doesn't flow, and the Crusher is covered in metal. So they will both be immune to antman bites.)

I actually wanted to start the character as an autonomous drone/worker/soldier.I can envision a sort of hive Mind that can directly control any one of its workers,but otherwise they are semi-independent,only grouping their minds togethor to acclompish a task that could help the colony.
How about this?:
the ant men colony had grown to large beforeteh island was closed off,so the original colony had created another "queen"(and some ant colony's do have queens) and found maybe an abandoned dock.Using the boats a small convoy of antmen left the island before the bubble was created,and only security forces patrolled it.The convoy is caught and destroyed,but one of the antmen manages to save the new queen by clinign to some debris and manages to float to shore.
How about that?^_^
oh and if you'd like i'd also help control some of the antmen on the island that can interact wiht every 1 there

Um just for the sake of pc protecting. I would like to suggest any one with Loa blood is resistant to the ant bites, not necessarily immune but able to fight it like any disease they could normally get.

Each character could then have different results. For example Symphony, DT you where in mind, could be bitten and fight a long battle and eventually lose to the desease years later. Nia could be bitten start to change form and recover all in a short time because of her healing powers, say she does it all in one or two days. Another person could be sick for a weak and then recover, and so on.

Good ideas, DT. Works great for me, post away. What ant features do you see your primary antman character having? How big is he, how many legs, that sort of thing.

Cats, Nia's healing power would allow her to recover from a bite, but I am generally opposed to blanket immunities. Any of the PCs could be shot by a bullet and killed (except those whose powers specifically protect them) and anyone can be bitten by an antman, or transformed by the six-armed dancing girl, and be permanently altered (except those whose powers specifically protect them). I'm not about to force death or major character alterations on anybody, but those are the risks your characters face.

If you don't want your PC to get shot, or bit, or whatever, play them intelligently. Be careful who you make enemies with, and what fights you get into.

Name:"it","drone","worker",etc.
descriptin:the only surviving antmen beside the new quen to escape the island from the original escort.Stands and full height of 8'.has a human-shaped torso,with two arms,a human face and arms.fingers have longer claws that can inject a small amount of altered Loa DNA,mutating an un-mutated subject into an ant-men(tha tmeans women turn into drones,which are all male)Bands of brownish-red chitin protect his torso's vitals and parts of his face.Selected because he is slightly more intelligent then most,being one of the originals changed and has had longer to adapt.its lower body is 4 legged,much like the abdomen and thorax of an ant.it also is completly covered in red-brown chitin fully.unlike normal ants thouhg it has a full skeletal system,is warmblooded,and its "legs" are prehensil.It also has a slim long 6' tail armed with a small spiked tip that can be sheathed within a movable layer of Chitin(added a llil scorpioness srry)It has long lank brown human hair,out of which protrude slim,delicate feelers.

The Queen:
name:The Queen,Leader,god,goddes etc.
description:small,about 3 feet long currently.shaped like a small girl,pale except for small patches or stripes of black/brown/red chitin along one side of her face.large expression-full eyes that almost never blink.it is enormously physchic,and is able to communicate to antmen for a number of miles.It is young though and so cannot reproduce to build its colony bigger yet,and depends on her single surviving follower for food and for physical protection.is normally asleep most of the time,starting to develop more and more rapidly.

hows that?im going to make a post wiht a short part about teh escort and the trip to the mainland,then have them end up in bay city,then on to bridges,how does that sound?

I'd prefer if only the bite carried the antman infection. Claws and stinger-tail (which is cool) are just regular weapons, not mutators. Other than that, sounds great, DT, keep at it. I don't know if the ants will make it as far as Bridges, but start them off in Bay City and we'll see what happens.

I know I don't have to adress this but I didn't mean to offend you swamp with my suggetion about the loa blood, I fully agree with your decision but offered my idea to allow more control for player characters. Sorry for bringing that back up but I felt I should say something in respone to your last post.

Well I don't like to leave things unresolved. It'll eat away at you for the next 20 years and you don't even relise it. Yes well I figured the music was perhaps the best time to change Nia's aditude towards the entire rape thing. I would put it off till later but I doubt anything else would come up. Which puts me into the entire imortal suicide thing which I've done in other threads before and have not intrest in doing again. Now to the party.

Power: Aijen has untapped psychic powers but they can become active when he feels threatened by something or someone. The ones effected by this power is everyone around him, the one who makes Aijen feel threatened and whoever else in a radius gets hit by his untapped power becoming barely active. The effect of his power when or if it effects one in the radius: headaches, migranes, dizzyness, nausea or loss of conciousness.
