Angelius! Welcome back and welcome to the thread. Hold tight and I will bring you into the story but not where everyone else is...we will be playing a separate posting for your char until everyone meets later on.
Hey everyone, this is going great but another small question ;op
Are Lothius, Sutashi and Taran still outside? I've been waiting for Celestiale to follow up on my post which is why i haven't done anything....but in Isolde's last post i'm stationed upstairs...
Just need clarification.....shall i post my follow up or go with the story as it is?
Sorry, my bad...you are still with the others and Celestiale posted that she is having some problems so might not be able to post but for you two to go ahead and go on...you can go to the library or come help us..up to you
Well I am done. I am severly sick and tired of being griped at and told how to run my character(who is not a copy of the gay ass Forgon Realms Drow, but is a charater I actually play in D&D thank you neale. and all the 18 could be due to the fact that he is a enormously high level ranger who I have been playing since long before the insergence of third addition). There is no place in this thread for me since I enjoy battle and you well enjoy talking for hours about the color of the wood textures in the walls of the inn or some other stupid shit like that. Have fun.
ooooookay........I just was writing my next post when this happened.
I don't know 'what' happened or 'how' it happened (I've been out some days) so I'm not judging anyone.
But still, I think I'll wait till this problem is solved, and when it is decided how Kalann suddenly disappears.....
I saw this post and just had to dive in! I'm an old hand at paper-and-dice RPG's and was thinking about bringing and old character of mine out: Kyle Blackbyrne, Paladin of Tyr. He did get caught by the old belt of gender-swapping in the last game I played him in, and I figured I'd try to work him into this. He was being watched for possible inclusion as a Harper (not that he knows this) and was originally based in Cormyr, so the Forgotten Realms angle is nice for me.
Greetings, all. I'm an old friend of Neale's, and he invited me to get in on the fun. He and I used to play AD&D together too many years ago.
The character I have in mind for this is a Silver Elf wardancer--a specialized fighter/sorcerer peculiarto the Forgotten Realms. His name is Alyar Silverwing, and he is a native of Evereska, an Elf enclave several days' travel south of Silverymoon.
The class of the character is actually called "bladesinger", not "wardancer." The other is a similar concept from a novel, and I sometimes confuse the two in my thinking.
SpectreT...what exactly is the point of your post? Are you sending your 'wife' away to get better into the story or to take this thread in a certain direction?
Cause if it is the latter than I have to tell you that we have everything planned out. I dont understand your post and I need to know what you are trying to do here.
Spec, I gotta tell ya, ya really ought to check out the posts previous to this one, dealing with Kalann. His style left a horrible taste in a lot of people's mouths.
I am really grateful to have a creative, knowledgeable player join the thread... (despite your duplication of one of my character's 'unique' traits), but I really wish you'd ease up a bit on the back story as it affects the campaign, when you haven't cleared/discussed it with the ladies in charge of the thread. Or, at least, me.
Introducing potentially campaign-affecting elements like this 'council' is just not a good thing, as it can warp the logic of the people who are actually the 'DM's.
Ya got mad writing skillz, bubba, just watch the dainty toes of our lovely ladies while using 'em, okay?
Hey everyone and I would like to say thanks to all who have been making this thread a booming success.
The one thing about this thread is that is is very in depth and we are being a bit stricter on the postings here cause we have a definate way to go with this. So far the posts have been Magnificent!
We have had a few problems but mainly we have had fun (I hope). As of right now, though, I am having to close this thread to all but those who have posted in it already. It is not that I do not like new talent but right now we have many people in it and I think we have lost some of our really good posters because of confusion and people who shall remain nameless trying to take over the thread.
To all those posters who have decided to leave due to these circumstances, I apologize and thank you again for some excellent posting.
Also, can those who are still with us please post here and let me know so we can get this thing on a roll here? We are about to leave Silverymoon and get into some good adventure on the outside of the city. Sorry for any delay or inconvience and I hope we can have a world of fun!
"The council" was just a cheesy writing device to get rid of another cheesy writing device. Dues Ex Machina. I'll try not to hog the thread, and I'll happily kiss any toes I may have stepped on. I was too lazy to think of another way to catch up with everyone, so I pulled the same garbage that Chris, my old DM, used to pull: Have a supermage with *Way* too much information bring me up to speed and teleport-dump me and the crew into the kimchee head-first.
The backstory is just where the old character of mine was left off in the game I last played him in, Including the semi-cursed belt. Please, just keep me posted, and I'll do my part to keep this train on the tracks, instead of derailing it.
