Point taken about the opposite sides, but the Yuuzhan Vong I don't think really existed in the Unknown regions they came from another galaxy.

I think they were too, but it doesn't matter much. You have to remember that the new Republic isn't as widespread, so the unknown regions might be a lot different now than they have been in the SW Galaxy in the past. We can make things how we need them to be.

As for the Chiss, I don't know when they came into play, and I haven't seen the movies save for the second one in a while. Yes, I'm the guy on this thread who hasn't bought the DVDs yet. Save the tomato throwing for after my post, lol. If they were brought into play in the books, after ROTJ, then they may not exist for us any more than the Yuuzhan Vong do.

Speaking of which, the dewscription of the Dracuurians seems similar to them, in the sense that they are religiously directed and whatnot. Not beyond that. Paen and I had talked at short length a while back about bringing in two Dracuurians to lead the enemy, but we never got far with the idea and had no direction to take just then, if I recall correctly. The only problem I have with what you said (of course, we'd all have to have a say in how things progress, Sharkboy) is that I'm already working Raine toward a conclusion as to why the Dracuurians are so hostile toward the Jedi, and yes, I intended it to be personal. I have no issue with blending what you wanted and mixing these things in with what you want, so basically, I guess I'm agreeing and expressing the usual "don't get carried away' speech that I give everyone when I first start to RP with them. Don't take offense,

I've got to get back in this, but we have to decide how we're going to handle what goes on on Yavin. I'll post Marius and Raven soon.

uh so does Yavin include me?? Just curious anyway, the Chiss are a blue skinned red eyed people who are introduced by Timothy Zhan(? not sure about how to spell his last name) in the Thrawn trilogy, in the form of Grand Admiral Thrawn who was a military Genius.

We are not going by the books, so most of what introduced in them are not in this thread, unless we all like the idea.

I know that we are not going by the books, I was curious if Yavin included me considering that I'm in that area.

It would seem it would have to, in one way or another. Given that, until the split, Yavin would ave been basically the center of operations for the Jedi, it would stand to reason you would have had to be there at some point, or at least deal with them. However, there were other bases, like the one in the Mached system, which was destroyed in Ep. 7. A Jedi could be almost anywhere, but it stands to reason (I think, anyway) that any Jedi would wasn't rogue, would have to be linked to Yavin somehow.

Just my thoughts, anyway.

One comment on the Chiss. Thrawn did, in fact, exist. One of Moridin's Destroyers is named for him. But remember, that the Rebellion never really took over in this reality. All Thrawn was, was another Warlord who took over the Empire for a time, and was stopped by Luke Skywalker.

As far as the Chiss . . . a lot can happen in the time period we're talking about. Remember . . . Luke Skywalker died, but he was far from young when he did. Han Solo is gray haired, himself.

The Chiss could be around, hiding in one corner of the Unknown Regions, or they could have been conquered by the Dracuurians.

I would say the latter would be true. The Dracuurians wouldn't set there sights on the galaxy if they had a potential threat behind them.

If, fo rosme reason, anyone would like to reintroduce the Chiss, then you can have them on the run toward the core of the galaxy.

There might still be much of those regions to overtake, and perhaps not much reason, as the Galaxy is mostly centered around the Jedi and the New Republic. Based on that, the Dracuurians might be rushed to attack said Jedi and Republic as a way of taking the initiative now that they've been discovered.
Not necessarily how we planned it, but I don't know that we ever really said they controlled all of the unknown Regions anyway.
We'll have to talk this out further before we know for sure. That's the tough thing about everyone being online at different times...
