OOC: Star Wars - Episode VIII: The New Threat

don't be, I read I, Jedi and am still looking for the other perspective, speaking of which, is there going to be a Sun Crusher?

I'm thinking of about 25 years before the first thread (Episode VII), So yeah, it is the new Republc era.

I haven't read anything to back you up Arc, but I do like the idea of both Tynan and D'Rack being Luke's Padawans. It'll make more sense of why D'Rack and Tynan both think the Jedi to be more aggrasive with the force.

And we don't need to play all our charchtes, it is up to you.

wow that means I would have to play Keiran's master, the gotal . . .

Sun Crusher is?

I've heard their renaming Star Destroyers to Dreadnaught. Super Star Destroyer would be Star Dreadnaught.

Is this offical? IMO I hope not, it would ruin even the classic tilogy.

Sun Crusher was an experimental ship created by a lost laboratory of the Empire. It fired a magnetic resonance torpedo into a star, causing the star to go supernova. It had a quantum crystallized hull, which protected it both from the plasma and the radiation.

Kyp Durron stole it during the Jedi Academy Trilogy

no the dreadnaught is a class of ships that came during the old days, in the Old Republic. The most famous of which was the Katana Fleet, but I don't think you want to deal with that.

ah, the Katana fleet, also called Dark Force...1000 republic dreadnoughts, slave rigged to each other

I read on another site that they were.

as Dragonrazor has just explained, the Katana Fleet, is an actual fleet of starships, that consisted of Dreadnaughts . It's a clone wars ship actually.

eep...Donny linked me a site that indicates my numbers are off...200 ships, not 1000

dragonrazor just reminded me of the rename thing when he sasid Dreadnaught.

Just thought I should ask if it is true, I was not acusing him of changing names.

So Dreadnaught is a fleet of Clone era ships? Got a pic?

no it's not a fleet of Clone Wars era ships. The Katana Fleet is the fleet, but they Dreadnaught is a CLASS of Clone Wars era Ships (well according to Timothy Zahn, and I say this with the utmost respect to Zahn because it's eluded to all over the Star Wars books trilogies but Lucas never used the Dreadnaught class ships in his movie episodes 1, 2, 3)

some of those dreadnaughts ended up being salvaged after the Dark Force Rising trilogy...and some were salvaged before it, ending up in the hands of a soldier from the old republic

also, when can we start?

My quick 2 cents. No Sun Crusher . . . unless we want to use it in a villainous way. But I generally prefer to show evil in the form of a character of some sort instead of a machine. But, if I'm in the minority, of course, then we can run with it.

Timeline: If it's going to be that far ahead of our Episode 7, than there might be some problems. D'Rack was 37 in the first thread, so he would be 12. Which would make Tynan, Raine, and just about anyone else a toddler. This is all assuming you goys are right with Episode 7 being 50 years after RotJ (I had thought it was closer to 20 or 30). If we make it a bit closer in time to Episode 7, then the characters would be old enough to be central characters.

ANd, finally a question for Abraxas . . . are you going to have Tholin interact with the Jedi at all, then? Because he didn't meet them until Episode 7 . . . or did I miss something . . .

:)

Sorry, all, this is all a bit confusing.

Nevermind, I found where we decided it would be 50 years. But the other issues still remain . . . especially Tholin, since he was only defrosted 10 years prior . . .

Ahhhh, I'm lost.

& if I remember I did meet Raine while she was a Padawan. Her master challenged me & I killed him, but spared her, just taking her lightsaber

PD, who says we cant change it? It is our thread.

We could make episode 7 20 years after RotJ,

one warning, Atlantis, the unfinished prototype ship Adray is captain of, has a command level AI computer. Should i add her as a character?

Good point. :)

I suppose it would be enough, though, if we kept the new thread somewhere a bit closer in time to Ep7, no more than 15 years earlier. That way we can to some background on the characters we had done in the beginning.

no biggie, I'm already on it
Heh, or you can come up with another character. I seem to remember you were getting tired of . . . how'd you put it . . . "Darth Pompous Ass" I think? LOL
