I suppose it would be enough, though, if we kept the new thread somewhere a bit closer in time to Ep7, no more than 15 years earlier. That way we can to some background on the characters we had done in the beginning.

So if Ep7 is 20 years after ROTJ, and the new thread will be 15 years before Ep7, then it'd mean the new thread is 5 years after ROTJ.

they are highly crew intensive, but during the clone wars a fleet of about 200 hundred of them were slave linked together and required minimal crew as they were mostly crewed by robots. They were sent out, but the main ship, had a malfunction, the crew of it were in cryo freezing because back then it took forever to move from point A to point B and they were sent off to who knows where.

We still have some things to work out . . . like when in time is this actually happening.

i'd think ten years would probably be best...though if you went with 14 or 15 it would put it about the time of the discover of the Dark Force by the New Republic...it would give them time to salvage some of the ships..but you might want to go a little farther forward, so that Luke has had time to start up the academy

yes, I'd like more specific on the time zone so that I can come up with my character . . . I just realized that although it might be interesting to use Keiran's master, if he's in the outer rim, he's not coming back for a while.
