well.. I would like it a lot better if our house didn't get so hot. I like going to the pool and seeing girls in skimpy clothes and stuff, but it ain't worth an 80 degree house.

I'm a little out of practice, but I do play still for my baby. last week we began "friday song day". hopefully that will improve my practice habits.

**Peeks in and waves on a Friday evening.....**

Good evening, you two!

Mr. Moon, I completely agree with you about the heat. I don't like to use the A/C because it drives the electric bill completely out of control. So, unless it gets into the nineties, I sit in my home office, slaving away writing code, and try to make due with a fan in the window. Fortunately, where I live, the summer heat is short-lived. I do prefer the winter, actually.

As for your practice skills, well..... My BIL tells me that if I ever want to move past banging out chords, I need to practice at least one hour a day, every single day. It hasn't happened yet.....

I hope you two have a pleasant weekend..... :)

you have more willpower than I do. I'm perfectly happy to turn the A/C on anytime it gets up above 70. not cranked up, but on.

I'm pretty much a hack on guitar... I've been "banging out chords" for about 20 years now. I often wish I could wake up tomorrow and be a virtuoso, but unless that happens I'll always be a hack. I can fake things well enough to get my point across most of the time. that's all the ability I need right now.

hope you're having a good weekend yerself. :rose:

from "forgetting sarah marshall....

I hope this either makes you laugh or makes you hot. either way, I win. :)

Old as Ancient Skies
I've had these wondering eyes
But you took me by suprise when you let me insdide of you

Inside of you
Inside of you
There's got to be
Some part of me
Inside of you

Inside of you, I could cross this desert plane
Inside of you, I can hear you scream my name
Inside of you, while the stars unfold
I've crossed me heart and I've crossed the world
And I need you here and I need to be
Inside of you

Now the flowers bloom
I feel you creep into my room
And if this should be our tune
I'll die here inside of you

And the world explodes
I've never been down this road
Teach me how to glow
While I'm moving
Inside of you

Inside of you, the restless find their dreams
Inside of you, this king has found his queen
Inside of you, all the stars unfold
I've crossed me heart and I've crossed the world
And I need you here and I need to be
Inside of you

Inside of you
Bay blue
So say it's you
To thoughts untrue
Who I woo
It's you I woo

Through and through
And through and through
There's so much more than just a screw
Inside of you

And I was blizzard blind
Felt like I've lost me mind
But you've treated me so kind
I don't know what to do

:D:heart::heart::D

because your song meant the world to me.........

How Deep Is Your Love
The Bee Gees

I know your eyes in the morning sun
I feel you touch me in the pouring rain
And the moment that you wander far from me
I wanna feel you in my arms again
And you come to me on a summer breeze
Keep me warm in your love, then you softly leave
And it's me you need to show

How deep is your love, how deep is your love
I really mean to learn
'Cause we're living in a world of fools
Breaking us down when they all should let us be
We belong to you and me

I believe in you
You know the door to my very soul
You're the light in my deepest, darkest hour
You're my savior when I fall
And you may not think that I care for you
When you know down inside that I really do
And it's me you need to show

How deep is your love, how deep is your love
I really mean to learn
'Cause we're living in a world of fools
Breaking us down when they all should let us be
We belong to you and me

I love the song and I love you.:kiss::heart:

hopefully it will be on constant rotation in your mind for the next week.

Want to hear something funny.................it's been playing in my mind already. And while cooking supper I found myself singing that song. It is one of my fav. Bee Gees tunes.

I like it, too, although some of the lyrics don't really fit for a romantic tune, in my opinion. the overall feel of the song is very romantic.

That it is. And if you have ever seen the movie, it was played while they were dancing and falling in love:heart:I think

honestly, the only thing I remember about the movie is the big dance scene, and the fact that he blows off fran drescher right before he takes over the dance floor.

I just know the songs because they got played on the radio so much.

Gotta love the disco era!:D

Gotta love the disco era!:D

ummm... yeah.

actually, one of the moves I can watch all the way through from that time is "thank god it's friday". it doesn't pretend to have any deep meaning like "saturday night fever". all the people just want to dance and/or get laid.

early performances by jeff goldblum and debra winger, my favorite nerdy guy from that era (john friedrich, who was in a few low budget teen comedies), plus on-screen performances by the commodores and donna summer. not to mention marv gomez, "the leather man". very cool.

We're All Alone - Rita Cooligde
Outside the rain begins and it may never end
So cry no more on the shore a dream
Will take us out to sea
Forever more forever more
Close your eyes and dream
And and you can be with me
'Neath the waves through the caves of hours
Long forgotten now
We're all alone we're all alone

chorus:
Close the window calm the light
And it will be alright
No need to bother now
Let it out let it all begin
Learn how to pretend

Once a story's told
It can't help but grow old
Roses do lovers too
So cast your seasons to the wind
And hold me dear oh hold me dear

chorus:
Close the window calm the light
And it will be alright
No need to bother now
Let it out let it all begin
All's forgotten now
We're all alone oh oh we're all alone

chorus:
Close the window calm the light
And it will be alright
No need to bother now
Let it out let it all begin
All's forgotten now
We're all alone we're all alone
Let it out let it all begin
Owe it to the wind my love

Sad but pretty song. I haven't heard it in a long time.

"To Know Love" by Little Big Town:heart:

Walk with me in a moonlight babe
Lose ourselves in a star parade
And i will sing a midnight serenade for you
Dance with me in a field of green
Be so close i can hear you breathe
Be the end and the in between

[Chorus]
Cause to know you is to know love
And to know love is to know enough
To walk with you through this life
From now until the day i die
What better way is there to live
Than to live with you

So put your song in my silver sky
Put your rain in my river dry
Put your words to my lullaby
And I'll dream of you

[Chorus]

[Chorus]
