I appreciate the fact that you and all the others care so much about me, Perdita. I makes me feel all warm and happy. The money issue isn't something I'm ashamed of, it's just how my life is right now. Trust me, if I believed that my foot was really bad, I WOULD go to the doctor, seeing as I could always ask them to send the bill to the social office. It's not really the money that keeps me from going to the hospital, but the experience of doctors, and the fact that I don't think it's worth the bother just to hear them tell me what I already know - that my foot's OK, and it's getting better.
I may have exaggerated that first post about the swelling of my foot.
