And since this body liked to party and drive reckless (NOT AT THE SAME TIME! I swear.) It got the crap kicked out of it from being a brute with muscle, and then tried to drive indie on the freeway and paid for it. All of this just past the age of consent and before the legal drinking age. I carry the scars in my back, on my body, and the disabilities (I chose to pretend I don't have) that go with them, everyday of my life. I just try to act like the 24 year old ex-convict I once was, and it gets my old punk ass in trouble.

Be ye warned, digging 4 foot trenches through root balls is a young man's game. Let them do it for god's sake!! Us Immortals must protect our good looks and ability to woo our clerics. I mean....it's more fun. Speaking of...what is it my darling Aruku?

LOL, Dramatic you have to be one of my favorites on here for the simple fact that if you are not my equal, you're probably better when it comes to your DMishness (Wow I made a fake 9 letter word out of a two letter acronym. I must be a Dork.)

Yeah 'cause if you stab something right now it lives only through divine intervention. So, yeah Cause Fear is a good idea. Cause I have not decided if the first person you might stab is the sheriff, which would suck, but if it's what will happen? Oh well. I want this story told true to character, not just because the DM won't like it. Not that DM.

d20 rolls
I have also decided that in the interest of fairness for this game, if you really need a Die roll for some reason or another, assume that you rolled an 11, and add the appropriate modifier. This will give you a slight advantage as I will be assuming my rolls are 10. This applies to all rolls of a d20 (Attacks, Saves, Skills, etc.)

Damage rolls
Next is damage. I want damage calculated, if it matters to you, as if you had done the following:
d2 = 2
d3 = 2
d4 = 3
d6 = 4
d8 = 6
d10 = 8
d12 = 10

This should cover all PC Damage dice and should be added as if the number after the "=" were what you would have rolled on the dice. So, yes, that means a 6d6 fireball spell would automatically be 24 points. The non-heroic NPCs, Monsters, and mini-boss type of opponents will be using the Statistical averages in the books.
d2 = 1
d3 = 1.5
d4 = 2.5
d6 = 3.5
d8 = 4.5
d10 =5.5
d12 = 6.5

As you can see this gives the PC's a distinct advantage. My Heroic level NPCs (Sheriff, Amieko, Shalelu, and cmky's Bard, are the ones you have met so far) are subject to how I need to use them best for the purposes of furthering the story. I will be keeping the Bard around on purpose in case someone wants to play her, cmky comes back, and to let me be an intrusive member of the party in your midst. That last one is a Joke. Mainly I will play her with the bare bones history I have for her. So, hope that helps.

Anything beyond the above will be handled on a case-by-case basis either here on the OOC thread, or in PM's.

Note on Combat
Also in the interest of adding the flavor of heroism, I want each of you to realize, You are playing your favorite hero. Act like it. This means freakin have fun, just don't go nutz like every time you drop a die it's a 20! So to simplify this I will be awarding Heroic Action Points.

Heroic Action Points are just what they sound like. Each of you will be starting with 10 and then receiving 10 more each level. I will make the edit to your respective character sheets. You can use them in the following ways.

Heroic Deed - We have all read the story of the Paladin who finds his true loves heart upon the altar of the evil Necromancer most foul. Though our valiant hero may slay the great evil....his loves heart no longer beats. Writing in a plot twist of your own that would save her in some way, or even writing a scene where you take control of a Heroic NPC for one post to achieve a plot point? Applies here.

The point is WE are writing together and your characters have value beyond us individually, therefore I want a way for all of you to feel as if your character is the focus of your story. If I can give you the ability to do so I will. My one caveat to this is if I PM you about a Heroic Deed, I am mostly concerned with why. I want a better understanding so I can write the proper reply

Lastly, if my post is not a direct reply to something, I will be posting Scene Summations. These will be long posts in which I take what has been written and weave it together like a book. My next post will be like this. Once I post it I will be happy to answer any and all questions.

One last note
As a roleplayer, and not a roll-player, I want Story to carry above and beyond the mechanics. The best way to do this for me is to take the mechanics down to the bare bones essentials. I am a visual numbers guy, so having these die rolls dropped to base constants helps show what it would look like mechanically(Skeleton). The Story(The meat) must be able to continue rather flawlessly once we start the actual adventure. To that interest I have a suggestion:

If you are interacting with an NPC that really needs my attention, like a Heroic NPC, please refrain from acting for them. None of you have really done this, so not worried. If you are waiting like Raven has been, stuck at the docks, and I have not replied? Edit your post with additional posting to move you along to where you want to be. I will likely not even care. If I do I will ask you to edit small things if you like. I will not force you to edit anything you don't want to. If you are interacting with very minor NPCs like Ruby and Aruku did, then please feel free. I don't have every bum on the street or barmaid named. If you call the main shop keeper by the wrong name? Oh Well, I will correct it later. I am giving you free reign to write your own fully fledged scenes so long as it does not contradict someone else, and does not require you to act for Heroic NPCs

And this is why one must keep one's clerics in line with proper discipline. Timekeeping in Golarion

Time travels on Golarion much as it does on Earth. Sixty seconds make a minute, sixty minutes make an hour, and twenty-four hours make a day. The people of Golarion measure time with seven days to a week (Sunday, Moonday, Toilday, Wealday, Oathday, Fireday, Starday), and twelve 30-day months to a year of 360 days.

Years are marked since the founding of the last great empire, that of Aroden, the Last Man, 4707 years ago. Although the empire has collapsed, its calendar remains in use to this day, with the current era still under the Absalom Reckoning (AR).


Months
The months in Golarion correspond roughly to our own, with each new year immediately after the winter solstice. The name of each month is etymologically tied to a specific god—residents of Golarion see the gods reflected in the changing of the seasons, and their names for the months reflect this. (Gozreh's month, for instance, is a time of budding and new life, while Zon-Kuthon's is seen as the death of the old year.) In order, the months are:

Kaijitsu is a sorceress with the bronze dragon bloodline. She is fairly powerful, but not nearly as powerful as you. Fulguran will be able to identify anyone or anything as having dragon blood. It's like dogs sniffing each other, he just instinctively knows because of the power of his mothers blood.

I am good with the intimidate check, and the DC for you to beat was 22 so you Intimidate the hell outta sheriff, hell you intimidate the hell outta me and I am the DM...kudos

The Sheriff only shoots when given no other reasonable option to prevent loss of life, harm to innocents, etc. As you will come to see he is tough as nails from almost two decades as the War Chieftain for his tribe, but his heart is really about protecting the people of Sandpoint.
