Happy to hear that Pamela wanted to have dinner with him, Steven clarified his comment about dinner. "I mentioned the buffet, but that doesn't mean that is where I necessarily want to eat. I would like you to choose the spot. It can even be one of the upgraded restaurants, or whatever they call them. I would be happy with that, too. It can be as casual or as formal as you want."
They walked onto the ship and Steven walked to return the picnic basket where Pamela had picked it up. Once that was taken care of, they made their way up to their deck. Before they got off the elevator, Steven asked Pamela if she would join him for a drink on the pool deck and they could use that time to decide what they wanted for dinner. He was happy that she agreed.
Once at the bar on the pool deck, Steven ordered their drinks and they looked out over the sea of humanity that was in and surrounding the pool. It seemed that a lot of people stayed on the ship while Steven and Pamela had been out on the beach. "That would have been me," pointing at people sitting around the pool, "if it wasn't for you. Thank you Pamela."
While they sipped their drinks, they talked a little; Steven's hand brushed over Pamela's knee a couple times. When they finished their drinks and stood up to go to their cabins, Steven smiled at Pamela. "Okay, it is decision time. I need to know how to dress for dinner. Where are we going?"
