I like to create a new character...

special ability... can create and travel through spatial and temporal wormholes... can create a dimensional gateway between two different points, two different times, and even two different dimensions.

Since it is know that he can travel between different worlds, it is not known whether he is from this world or not.

He will often bring monsters and other threats from other worlds to try to create chaos in this world

I'm not sure that's such a good idea right now, Rayli. You probably want to create a character that will actually join our party. Otherwise, your character would A) have no motive for even doing anything somehow related to our group and B) would be too powerful for our motley group to handle.

I'd really rather there were no PC villains at the moment, truthfully. And you sound far too powerful to be a hero at this level.

Maybe you should read the game thread and see how these things are working...

I would really like to have some fun destroying the world...

Shadow's main goal is to move from world to world, causing chaos and disorder in each world.

Ok, since no villains and nothing too powerful, my character (Shadow) will just have simple teleportation skills (no time, no dimensions) and some simple shadow-related magic and summoning spells.

He is travelling the world, in search for something...
He don't fight, but he can summon Shadow Warriors to fight for him (low level warriors who uses no weapon but skilled in martial arts - at most 3 at a time for now)

He also uses the Shadow Seal ability, which fixes one's shadow onto the ground, causing him/her unable to move.

Since shadow only exists in the light, Shadow Warrior and Shadow Seal will have no effect in the dark at all.

He won't actually be in the party, but he will stop by and help the heroes from time to time (will since I will be a bit busy these days)

Uh, there's still one major problem--

Why?

It really doesn't make sense that this guy would hang out with this adventuring crew, out of the gazillions of adventuring parties out there. Or tag along, especially, considering he has stuff to blow up or make chaos or whatever.

Besides that, what I'm terribly afraid of is a deus ex machina -- that whenever the party gets in a tight spot and you want to introduce your character, you might come in and save the day, instead of allowing desired conflict. I'm DOUBLY worried of this, since you posted on the main thread without waiting for my okay... that wouldn't normally be such a big deal normally, but I don't want to have to keep track of you to make sure you don't pop up at random times.

Also... which is he? Human or monster? Whichever one he is, he needs to follow certain personality patterns dictated in the beginning of this thread. I haven't quite thought over Light and Shadow magic, but I assume they will just be under the same category of Fire, Water, Air, and Earth magic... yet even so, I kind of have a bit of a plan for our first quest, so I don't want anything going wild until we've settled in.

Unless you think you can create a realistic character in the settings dictated previously, I'm not really sure this is your kind of thread, Rayli.

Just in case it annoys anyone: Raen is fairly dismissive of most of the others, especially Shard, because he's just kinda acrid that way. I love the characters myself , but Raen mostly sees himself as being dragged along with them

Don't worry, Lethe -- I think it's pretty obvious as to who is the character and who is the writer.

I really like Raen, by the way. Hopefully this will be a lot of fun.

Personally, I can't wait until the girls have to start "inspiring" Kevin in order to turn him into a werewolf so he can fight like a badass. That should be fun.

Heh. Zarl could probably be 'inspired' to fight for the girls.

And then most of the time he'd end up moping about. Muttering about monsters and people and,....EGH. He's so damn deep now. I hate it. Oh well. Maybe it will lighten up once we get moving.
