I recieved a PM today. They said I was a rapey giraffe. I laughed so hard I had everyone on the train stop and stare. Good times

I think that is the first time I have ever seen the words rapey, and giraffe, next to each other.

Well, you certainly won't get one from me, it's not a pretty sight. Though I suppose if I was a bit more creative it might be worth doing. Perhaps a nice back drop, bit of makeup, perhaps an outfit. Proper lighting. Meh, workable I suppose. Though being the requests for such pictures has amounted to...*checks inbox and dodges a moth emerging* nil! I think the women of lit are safe. For now..

I have a friend who sends me totally surreal PMs that inevitably make me smile.

Actually 99% of my PMs make me smile - it's that little jolt of "oo, someone's thinking of me" when the pop-up appears

I have this certain friend from the AH. He is hilarious, and never fails to make me smile.

He won't initiate the contact unless I do so. After that, it's just fun to talk about everything and nothing. It feels good to talk to someone who's smart enough to pick up the subtle hints and act accordingly.

I responded by saying I was flattered, and thank you for the sweet words. I added a ps to say thank you for not sending the normal rude/crude pm. His final response was, "My pleasure...really."

As you might have guessed I get a phenomenal number of IMs, PMs and emails. Some are questions that they don't want to share with the world. Some are VERY personal. MOST are well written notes of gratitude for me starting the thread and sharing the TECHNIQUE. Of course ALL those who have contributed are being thanked too because without so many posts this thread would have died a looooong time ago.

I don't know if you've noticed by my TRY THIS thread is getting between 250 and 500 reads a DAY!!! I still get PMs, IMs, and emails and they are ALL appreciated ... especially the ones who let me know privately that after many attempts they have finally achieved their EUREEEKA MOMENT.
