What I saw was
you.
I
no longer had
any side
at all.
Lovely, and very fitting these days.

wideeyedone said:an orphan's heart
how did you pluck me from the crowd?
how did you know that i needed you?
a girl with no father
i had an orphan's heart
and you loved me through it
my dreams were your dreams
my heartaches, you bore
your smile erased a thousand rejections
your praise out thundered a hundred reproofs
your trust in me
made me feel stronger
your love made me know
that this orphan
could be a mother
that this orphan could learn to love
so today i said goodbye to you
I know you heard my voice falter
felt my tears on your chest.
know i love you now and always
i can not repay the gifts you gave me
for your love was never a loan
so instead i invest it in my daughters
and watch this orphan's family grow.
my thoughts and prayers are with you in your hour of loss!

Was my pleasure. Still falling-down flattered you wanted me to read it.Honey123 said:Atmas,
I wanted to thank you again. I submitted the poem and am hoping it does well.
Sometimes having someone who doesn't know you really helps when it comes to reviewing a, if I can be so forward, piece of "art".
I think what we all do, stories and poetry, are just that an "art".
Thank you again.

SheRemembers said:Play me like a violin...
A melancholy nocturne
Whispered
Pianissimo along the
Cupped audience
Of my
Ear.
Play me like a guitar..
Strum your fingers
Along my stomach
And lower--
Delicato
As your other hand
Gently presses,
Alternating chords
Against my
Neck.
Play me like a piano...
Stroke your fingers--
Featherlight, and then
Intensity
Crescendo
Breath
Accelerando
A touch, a note held--
Fermata of color
Behind my eyes.
Weave your harmony over
My desire-slick skin
Until I become
A symphony, a rhapsody
Of your making.
bravo. well dun. i must say. thanks you.Victoria_2001_02769 said:The time draws ever nearer
And I hold you ever dearer
Than any who have come
Before...
There are still many things
Of which I can not speak,
And most of those
You know...
I find myself standing
On the edge of the water
That threatens to engulf me
And pull me under...
If I go...
Would you miss me?
Thank you so much! That's really kind of you to say.Raidho said:Good heavens, this is gorgeous.
Fan of "The Alchemist", I see...atmas said:"The lake was silent for some time. Finally, it said:

I miss discussing this with you. Next time?atmas said:"The lake was silent for some time. Finally, it said:

atmas said:I like to look at you
asleep on your side, face
cradled by down soft pillow.
I like to read
you like a poem, slowly
attending to the detailed
whisps about the eyes
slipping under lids, lips
pursed as if about to kiss.
In this, your nightly cruise,
you take leave
from port of day's
forgotten words meeting
off course to sail along
the sea of dark
through strings of island stars,
at the masthead bearing on
toward sun about to be
uncovered.
I like to see you stir
when into the small
cupped petal of your ear,
my whisper drifts:
touch me, touch me.
I like to watch you rise
as if some foreign tongue
you once spoke came
suddenly back to you, watch
you fix a course across
the sheeted light onto
the continent of my body.
