Whenever I hear about these stories, I can relate, since there have been incidents in my family's past.....

Definetly giving me incentive to go get a "premptive" checkup, just to be sure...

I hope that she pulls through this and makes a speedy and complete recovery.

Goldie is my friend, and I love her like my family. I believe Goldie is around 40ish. Very young and a loving person. I pray she pulls through

This was posted by Goldie's aunt around 6pmish tonite at my Love Cafe thread:

Good Evening

I am writting you from the hospital she is holding her own, Surgery as i said went ok from what the doctor has told me if they had waited to do surgery i would be burying her this christmas those clots were so big that they were at the point of bursting there was so much blood in them he is amazed that they did not kill her that is how bad it was Tomorrow or Friday they are going to start waking her up a little at a time from the coma and then increase it a little each day and then take her off the breathing machine for 5 or 10 mins each day to see how she does if all goes well and she holds her own she will be home after the New Yr and she will not have the use of her left side at all she will be having another Cat Scan tomorrow to see how things are, Please keep her in your prayers and thoughts take care. Pat

So there is progress which is a good sign.....its going to be slow start of recovery for
her.....please continue to send love and good wishes Goldie's way as she's going to need
them for the next few days.

UPDATE from late last nite

This was posted around 11:30pm'ish late last nite on my Cafe thread by
Goldie's aunt:

Good Evening

I just got home about an hour ago and she is still the same, In answer to your Question we dont know maybe after Rehab she might the recovery time for a stroke depends on the patient we just hope that she has her voice i have know some that never get there voice back and others do we just have to wait and see well that is all for know i will be going back tomorrow afternoon as they are going to run some more tests on her in the morning. Pat

to Goldie!

I am going to be at work this afternoon until at least 9pm'ish so I won't be back
online until at least after 10pm tonite so keep checking here and also on my Love

Good Evening all

Well there is a little good news for you folks Dawn AKA ( Goldie) is improving a little the tests showed that they got all the clots off her brain and on friday they will start to wake her up a llittle at a time, I know for a fact she hates hospitals and needles so when she comes out of her coma she will be scared cause of all the tubes and needles in her, Right know she has 4 IV's in 2 in each arm but her color is improving, For christmas i went out and got her a cell phone so that when she comes home she wont have to get up and answer the phone and a friend of the family got her a Laptop so she can sit in bed and when she comes home and chat and talk to people and her room has some flowers in even though there is not to be any in ICU they are breaking the rules but she loves her flowers so they are going to let her keep them, If anybody has any Questions that i can Answer please let me know take care and thanks for being there for her. Pat

That is very good news...they were able to get all the clots then......very good! GREAT
Christmas gift of a cell phone and laptop for Goldie! I'm glad they bent the rules so she
could have flowers in her room...and flowers do cheer one up too.

as my wife said..wal-mart has the virgin mobile cards..and maybe target..I know for a fact that wal-mart carries them..not sure if they have one near you..glad too see she is improving send her our best
