Pure Moonlight (closed)

"Katina is a sweet woman and a sad soul since her mate died. Ghell is a sweet man and a sad soul since his enslavement. They need someone in their lives that make them smile and he seems to be doing a fantastic job at that." Selena said simply as she kissed Kreston gently. "Just as we were when we first met."

"You're such a sweet woman, Selena, tough as you try to be some days," Kreston told her as their lips parted, then he teased, "Maybe that's why I stick around, for those little sweet moments like this one."

"Don't get use to them because as soon as I can fit back into my trousers, I'm going to go back to the same, grumpy Selena that you fell in love with." Selena growled, nipping at Kreston's neck as she made that comment.

"Careful, love," he growled softly against her ear before nipping it in return. "Or you might disappear from your own reception for a while." He couldn't wait for that evening, his heart beating faster just at the thought of chasing her through the forest only to catch her and pin her to be at his mercy.

"Ma would have your hide if you stole me away from this reception." Selena said with a grin, knowing that Kreston very well might do it just to prove a point. "Or rip this gown she made. I know how unpredictable wolves can be in the heat of passion."

"I would never. Your Ma is far too sweet to slight like that. You'll just have to hold back that lust til tonight." But that didn't stop him from kissing her in that familiar, heated way she'd often known in their most thrilling moments int he midst of making love.

"If you don't let your wolf out to play tonight, I will be very upset." Selena promised, giving him a wide grin as he kissed her with a passion that he usually reserved for their love making.

"He's waiting, very excitedly." Kreston gave her neck a secret nip before stepping back. "I think I'll go dance with your mother. She made me promise, after all. Why don't you go find Dad? I'm sure he'd love to dance with his daughter."

Selena nodded, going off to find Kreston's father and pulling him out into the fray to dance. He was in a lively mood that day, proud and excited for his son and his growing family.

"Now that you've got Kreston and Taqu'un settled, you won't know what to do with yourself." Selena said with a soft laugh.

"Oh, yes I will, darling," Volgo grinned down at her in that soft, easy-going way he was known for. "Whenever we're not busy making sure you lot don't get in trouble, I intend to rekindle my romance with the love of my life." He glanced over to Dayja, who was quite happily talking with Marri. The two were fairly alike and both liked to fawn over the children in the two families. She caught Volgo looking at her and her grey ears laid back as if blushing, and she quickly looked away.

"You should take her on a vacation. Perhaps to Inverlochly. I can talk to Brogan about the two of you staying in the keep for a while." She said softly, looking at the way that he looked at Dayja with such love and adoration.

"If we did that, we'd be heading out to the eastern coast to the ancient white forests there. That's where she was born, and I always promised her I'd take her back there. She thinks I forgot years ago when the boys were born, but I never have." Volgo smiled down at Selena then. "What about you and Kreston? Planning anything special tonight?"

"A run in the woods at the very least." Selena admitted, giving her father-in-law a smile. "Kreston has been incredibly patient with me. It's the very least that I can do for him."

"A run, eh? I doubt it'll be simple as that, dearest." He chuckled as the song ended.

As the celebrations wound down when night began to fall, people began offering wagon rides back to the Gol Dun village. Kreston and Selena rode back on their own horses, leaving Ruben and Luna to Kitty and their uncles for the night. Kreston seemed calm and happy, even tired, but Selena knew the gleam in his amber eyes, just raring to get home.

"Where did Ghell end up?" Selena asked Kreston as they rode their horses side by side back to the village. "Ruben was disappointed that he was already gone by the time the party ended."

"He walked back with Katina and Telma when Telma was getting tired. The two of them really hit it off." He reached out and took her hand. "Your mother says you have a bit of matchmaker spirit like her. I think I see it."

"As long as he's happy and safe, that's all that I care about. Katina will take care of him well." Selena said with a smile as she squeezed Kreston's hand. "And you my love...I will have to take care of you well tonight. After all, it's been a long time since Luna was born."

"And I sorely miss my mate's moans and the touch of her hands," he growled against her ear lovingly before giving his horse a good nudge to set it off trotting quickly toward their home.

Of course her horse followed the change in pace, her laughter filling the air around them. She had never seen Kreston so impatient for anything and it was obvious that he was restraining himself from simply jumping her then and there.

Kreston left his horse outside, going in to get his nice clothes out of the way so he wouldn't ruin them romping around with Selena. He watched her come in after him, and gave her a sly smirk as he laid aside his shirt and vest.

"Someone's in a hurry." Selena commented as she carefully took off her gown and placed it away for perhaps Luna to use one day. "Shall we run in the woods, love?"

"I'm just waiting on you," Kreston murmured in almost a playful growl, coming to press a kiss to her neck. "Need a head start?" After their last run, he'd given her a good ten seconds and still caught her in under a minute.

"Let me at least pull on a pair of trousers and boots." Selena said with a laugh as he pressed a kiss to her neck. "And then I'll take that head start."

"I'll give you one minute starting now. If you're not out by then, I'll take you in the yard and I don't care who sees," he growled against her ear, letting her know just how much he wanted her and how much he was holding back.

Selena looked at him with a slowly building grin on her lips. He was certainly stretched thin with need for her. It was a good feeling, she thought to herself as she pulled on her boots and trousers and then ran out the door and into the woods.
