I never stop being astounded at the level of depravity in humans. The Internet enables bad behavior in the same way it allows unbridled freedom of expression - anonymity. The lack of accountability or meaningful negative consequences sets the perfect medium to breed abuse; and the behavior thrives. I refuse to relegate poor behavior to a single demographic because abuse is universal across gender, age, and ethnicity; it merely manifests itself differently. Personally speaking, it makes engagement with others difficult. The disappointment and lack of trust in people is palpable.
