Reading Books For Pleasure

You never know, there could be. There won't be another by Rowling but she's said that now that she's done she wouldn't object if others added to the Potter-verse.

I think there will be more by her or not, either way.

I so love Christopher Moore!

Practical Demon-Keeping A Comedy of Horrors is pretty darn good! I love this author's mind!

*sigh* me too. I grew up with those books and now there will never be another one. I liked how it ended though, all except the epilogue that is.
Apparently Rowling has decided to write an encyclopedia that would include more details and backstories about her characters, as well as information about the characters who survive “Deathly Hallows" and the fate of the wizarding world beyond the few clues provided in the seventh book’s epilogue.

Source (including Deathly Hallows spoilers): here.

I've got a 3 volume set on the Civil War that's 3000 pages long. I probably won't buy another book this year until I get caught up.

Good for you. That would bore me to tears but if it's your pleasure I'm happy for you.

It might be boring but it supposed to be very well written.

Well written is good but it doesn't make it ok to be boring in my book.

Last night I finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I won't do spoilage on it but I will say, I ain't mad.

I just bought mine this evening! Taking it with me on my trip to drive my sis across country! :nana: Neon

Undead and Unpopular by Mary Janice Davidson was a fun read! It's light and fluffy but it's good too! Yaaaaaay!

Harlequin by Laurell K Hamilton.

:nana:
I just finished that yesterday and completely agree.

I also finished Forbidden Pleasure by Lora Leigh right before that and enjoyed it as well.

I loved that one.

Yup. me too just finished HP and the Deathly Hallows. If you have not been seduced by these books give them a try. They really ae quite good.

I'm a huge HP geek.

I could have done without the epilogue, it just seemed like a "how many dead people can we name our children after?" contest.

Although I must say, Draco Malfoy's kid had the best name of the bunch!!

I loved the Earth's Children series as well...

Does anyone know when she's coming out with that damn last book!? (Or was that the last book? I was under the impression that there was at least one more..)

Another is the Black Jewels Trilogy by Anne Bishop.

Finished, and just want to say RICHARD IS AN ASSHOLE. Someone needs to beat the shit out of that big whiney baby.

I'd say more, but I do not want to spoil the book for those who haven't read it yet.

I knew that a very looooong time ago. *chuckles* I picked this book up this week. I can't start it yet though cause I'm reading some others before I get to it.

I didn't like the Black Jewels Trilogy's first book at all. I haven't read the others.

I have read quite a few of the Jean Auel books. I loved The Clan of The Cave Bear and a few others. I'm not sure where I left off. At some point they ceased to be compelling for me.

He was even worse in this book. I mean normally he's an asshole, but you still kinda feel sorry for him. No he's just flat out an asshole. *sigh* It's too bad, he's SO sexy.

I liked it okay. The epilogue. Naming children after deceased relatives and admired friends is a common practice down South here.

Yep, you can see the lad nude in publicity photos for Equus. He has a nice, if young, body cuuuute butt dimples and a decent "wand."

I've always hated him because I knew he was an asshole very early on. Therefore I haven't found him the least bit sexy.

*shrugs*

*nods muchly*

I have always liked Edward and Rafael! I will have to read this book to remember Haven.

*chuckles*

*thinks memory bad, chocolate good*

Uglies by Scott Westerfeld was very good IMO. I am sooo glad there are sequels.
