Sadly, it begins.

Oh yes, Leah's procedural interpretation of pier law. Very clever. By that logic, a โ€œlong walk on a short pierโ€ is just cardio with commitment issues, while a โ€œlong walk off a short pierโ€ actually solves the problem everyone was hoping to solve. I wouldโ€™ve thought a keen semantic mind would recognize the difference between exercise and exile, Your Pedantry.
Tell me how you have never disclosed your race Whiteguide!!

sometimes little bo peeps
Trusting that 'your side' will support your 'brave' admission...

Risky strategy for any pedophile to follow I would have thought. But okay let's see who is okay with that and crawls out from under their rock.

While I may have acknowledged it on a few occasions, I have never promoted or believed in racial superiority or white nationalism. I have never posted racist comments or attacked anyone because of their race. Although I may have referenced race, such as identifying as a white male, black male, or white female, for clarity or context, I have never demeaned or disparaged anyone based on their racial background.

This thread was supposed to be about undesirable effects of coddling criminals -- and no one has yet demonstrated the existence of that problem. Certainly it is not one we have in the U.S. -- with a higher percentage of our population incarcerated than any other country.

A quick AI search;

Here are some figures and reported examples that are often cited in discussions about criminals being released from custody in places with more Democratโ€‘led policies (note: some sources are partisan or from political reporting, and outcomes depend heavily on definitions and context):

๐Ÿ“Š Reported Cases & Data

**1. Illinois โ€œsanctuaryโ€ detainer releases
**According to reporting citing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) data, Illinois has not honored about 1,768 ICE detainers โ€” meaning local authorities didnโ€™t turn over individuals charged with crimes to federal immigration authorities โ€” and those individuals were released into communities. Among them were people charged with serious offenses:

  • 5 charged with murder
  • 141 charged with assault
  • 23 charged with burglary
  • 10 charged with sex crimes
  • 4 charged with robbery
  • 15 charged with weapons offenses
(Source: reporting on DHS and ICE data)

Those same sources noted there were more than 4,000 active ICE detainers on people with charges including murder (51), assault (1,134), burglary (107), robbery (36), drug offenses (275), weapons (120), and sex crimes (813).

**2. Declined ICE detainers in several jurisdictions
**Aggregated records from ICE and immigration policy trackers show that more than 25,000 ICE detainers were declined by sanctuary jurisdictions nationwide between late 2022 and early 2025, resulting in the release of individuals with criminal histories โ€” including 72 who had homicide convictions or charges โ€” rather than being held pending federal action.

โ€” Of these, data attributed parts of the releases to specific facilities, e.g., Santa Clara County and the Illinois River Corrections Center.

**3. Specific incidents linked to pretrial release policies
**In Washington, D.C., there are multiple reported instances where people accused of violent or serious offenses were released without bail and then later charged with additional crimes โ€” including a fatal stabbing on public transit and repeated assault charges after prior arrests. These examples are used to argue that cashless bail and frequent release without bond contribute to repeat offending.

**4. Highโ€‘profile crime following release in Charlotte
**National political reporting highlighted a case in Charlotte, North Carolina, where a man with a lengthy criminal and mental health history was released before being charged later with killing an innocent person โ€” coverage that has been used by some commentators to critique local release practices.

Unlike yourself, I have peeps (sometimes little bo peeps if we're being kinky) to take care of that for me.
yup; your imaginary friends Pintler Man, Wallstreetguy, mastrman, PinkParkHorse, and Latecomer90210. Who are all you.

Pritzker is reviewing Il's catch and release program. Apparently when you release the criminals they go commit more crimes. :)
The felon pardoned a guy twice, and he committed more crimes. Go figure. Trump isnโ€™t even concerned about it.

I will continue to attempt to emasculate my political opponents, despite me being a self-loathing closeted homosexual Republican....which, of course, is completely different.

I will also attempt to threaten legal consequences against my political opponents, regardless of HisArpy's inability to convince a judge that a fictitious userid can be "libeled".

God Bless White America.
God Damn Everything Else.

Good morning Fascist Rightguide.

Roads are completely iced over here in Texas this morning so church services have been cancelled.

As, a result, I will be unable to pray for your God damned soul today.

Not to worry, Iโ€™ll somehow endure without prayers from someone whose faith melts faster than Texas ice and whose idea of righteousness is name-calling before breakfast. If church is optional but smugness is mandatory, I think your soulโ€™s got bigger problems than mine. Stay warm, and maybe use the downtime to learn what โ€œfascistโ€ actually means. Meanwhile, I'll be here in my study next to a wood stove reviewing the news and overnight angst of the nation's traumatized Left.
