Sarah Palin

Don't be too quick to dismiss The Enquirer's reporting. They broke the Gennifer Flowers affair with Bill Clinton story, as well as the John Edwards affair. It may be a sleazy rag, but it does have some journalistic chops.

And as far as a political bias is concerned, I think The Enquirer is biased towards digging up anything juicy on anyone that they can.

I agree. But the alien baby stories do tend to deflect credibility.

Speaking of the press... they're not being given the opportunity to ask questions in Florida, where Palin's been campaigning...

Why not?

"When one reporter asked an escort, who would not give her name, why the press wasn't allowed to mingle, she said that in the past, negative things had been written. The campaign wanted to avoid that possibility..."

They don't have to write anything negative. Just print Palin's responses to questions and let her words tell the story.

I think that is their point. Palin sounds like a walking commercial for SNL!

note

in florida they are now preventing reporters from talking to her followers, members of the audience at her public rallies!

So, there's the story. And good film footage for the 6 pm news.

Now let's see if they actually run with it!

It's running on CNN right now (3:15). With added coverage--a sheriff introducing Palin and referring to Obama as "Barack HUSSEIN Obama" and slipping in a couple of racial slurs. All taped.

Cool! I've got MSNBC on... I switch all day... last hour it was Fox. Haven't seen it yet, but I'm waiting.

...and McCain claims he's going to "take the gloves off" tonight.

As Imp said, "What gloves???"

I mean, there is going to be a fist fight on the set of The View soon. Keith Olberman, Jon Stewart and Tina Fey have more material than they have time...

80% of America thinks the country is headed in the wrong direction. The world's finances are in serious trouble and we have 90 year old women shooting themselves because they are about to be evicted.

And the McCain campaign wants to talk about a guy Obama met on a local charity board that did some things when Obama was eight years old.

James Carville needs echoing...

"It's STILL the economy, stupid!"

Did you see him on Good Morning America today? Good segment...smart man.

Poor little Elizabeth.

It makes for interesting television... I'm guilty of watching and waiting and wondering if they're going to make it through the next few weeks without someone going over that table after someone else...

Doesn't all this make you sad? It makes me wonder what the f--- we're doing sometimes. How can people have such disregard for ... humanity?

Could someone please tell me what time tonight's debate starts. CNN has 2 articles about it, but neither mentions a starting time. Thanks in advance.

What's the difference between a Palin rally and a KKK event?

Lipstick.

I did swing one vote today. Got the "Can't quite decide between Obama and McCain" statement. Asked if she could ever see Palin as president--as opposed to Biden--and she said, "Of course not." I said, "Well, haven't you answered your own question, then?" She agreed.

It's not true what they say about it making no difference who is running for vice president.

I have a feeling that McCain's voting record on veteran's issues is going to be the final nail for my Dad.

In my immediate family that live in this area, 4 of the 6 voted for Bush at least once. Maybe 5, not sure on my Grandmother. She is usually staunchly Democrat due to FDR.

Out of those, one is likely to vote McCain and her husband is nullifying her vote.

That's a dramatic change.
