Saving the Don's Daughter

Letisha

Letisha blushed a bit, quite pleased by both of their reactions. She hadn't expected that.

"Cara, you had mentioned something about Ty. Do you think we should go find her? Or will she have an easier time getting out of whatever problem has her trapped if we leave her alone?"

Another thought struck her and she glanced shyly at Felix.

"What's wrong with Terra? While I was working on his amulet, I had a flash of pain and blood. Is he ok? Is he coming back here?"

Felix

Felix showed a sad smile to Letisha. He shook his head for a moment before speaking. "Last I had seen him, he was going to ground trying to find someone he was sure would help him. This job has really raised the price on his head. His enemies have multiplied while his friends have evaporated. I tried to give him what help I could, but he was not interested. I hope he can make it back here safely. "

Felix

Felix watched as Cara was using her cell phone. "Any luck getting in touch with the others? "

Terra stood on the rooftop, poised, gun ready and cocked, staring down the one door that led up here. He'd take down what he needed, whoever came up here, if there were more than half a dozen, he'd be a dead man anyway.
At this point though, death didn't sound so bad after all. To sleep, to dream no more, he could accept those conditions. His job was done, as they say, he did what he'd come to do.
The door rattled once, stopped.
Terra took a deep breath, relaxing the gun in his hand. He squeezed off a round, sending a hole through the door.
"You want to fucking play?"
"Jesus, Terra. You son of a bitch..."
"I'm cold hearted. You didn't know that?"
Cursing coming from inside. Terra didn't know if he believed it or not, sounded too calm, too controlled for a man who'd been shot. He took no chances with this.
"Get her up here," Another voice from inside the door. Terra frowned, pulling off another two shots. He seemed happier when someone screamed out in agony. That would be the right way to take a bullet.
The door opened, as Terra reloaded his gun, a woman stood there, her arms outstretched, something clutched in each of her hand. Terra thought he saw a hint of gold or purple, but he couldn't tell.
He opened fire on the woman, but she didn't fall. She just walked forward, calmly and quielty, as if she weren't even being hit at all. She had the look of a woman not in the middle of a war, but in the middle of a meadow.
"Fae magic," He cursed, she had some sort of protection, useless to hit her. He moved back, seeing a few people run in around her, ready to take him down.
"Fuck you, fuck you," He shot what he could, but nothing hit. The bullets all took little routes of their own, swirling and swaying, slowing down, speeding up. He imagined this was some sort of funhouse, and he was shooting bullets into all those mirrors, watching them shift and phase and grow bigger and smaller.
Someone tackled him from the right. He plunged to the ground, screaming out.
He did the last thing he thought he could do, press the gun against his own head, and fire.
But it wouldn't fire... it refused. He heard the hammer hit the bullet inside, locked and loaded in the chamber, but it just refused to come out and give him that last kiss.
Fae magic.
Two more men began to tie his hands up.
"Terra, we've been looking for you."
Terra grimaced, as he was pulled up, to take a look at some fucking mobster in a suit, he was supposed to be impressed.
Terra spat a mouthful of blood at him.
"We'll get to that later, but first, we need to talk Terra."
"Let me die, at least give me that much."
The mobster just laughed, "You think Cara is the only one that requires your services? You are a very resourceful man."
Cara? They knew about Cara? How did they know? Who were these people, and what did they have to do with the girl? Questions he really didn't care for the answers to, came into his head, but it looked as if he didn't have a choice. He was going to find out some answers.
"Come, there is much to discuss."
A couple of his men helped him back to a van parked next to his huge truck, and a couple other cars. Someone fished for keys inside Terra's pants, and took the truck.
He was placed in the van, a few more ropes tied to him.
"You know so little, Terra. Maybe after this, you'll find out the real reason behind all this."
Terra doubted it, but this might just be the first time someone was telling him the truth in all of this. He was willing to listen....
Like he had a choice.

"No," I said with puzzlement. "I bet Ty's on her bike- she won't answer. Everyone else though, I have no clue why I can't get a hold of them. This is most strange."
I walked deeper into the house, down into the basement. I didn't want to do this- it wasn't right. It was spying... but there was little other choice. I needed Terra for the assult on the house. I needed Ty because... I just did.
I pulled the cover off of a huge black mirror set into the floor, dust rising in a cloud around it. I lit candles all around the room and turned on the air filter for a few moments while I ran back upstairs. I found Latisha first.
"I'm going to be doing some rather large magical workings downstairs- you're welcome to come watch if you like but don't interfear, okay? Its going to involve a lot of grand standing."
I left her with that invitation and went to my room to change. I emerged totally different, it felt, garbed like a Japanese ninja assasin more then anything else. The black cloth clung to me, the kitana at my side gleaming, whispering to me from its sheath, asking to come out and play. Joys of magical blades.
I ran into Felix on my way back downstairs. "I'm going to summon something that will help us find Terra and Ty. You can come watch if you like or stay here. Which ever suits you. Just don't interfear. There will be a lot of grandstanding- it won't hurt me, much."

Felix

Felix was not a big fan of fae magic, not at all. But he had a feeling that there may be more fae magic involved in this than he liked. So he took Cara's invitation and went down into the basement. Finding a comfortable spot along one wall, he leaned back as he waited for Cara to start.

Letisha

Letisha smiled as Cara bustled away. She had never gotten to watch fae magicks up close and personal. This could well be something very interesting.

She went on down into the basement and posted up against the wall across from the door. She smiled as she saw Felix enter. The look on his face spoke volumes. There were a billion places he would rather be.

Ty Lei

:: The car gave a good chase and with gunfire ringing out behind her, Ty could barely take a second to think before she had to swirve to keep herself from getting locked in the gunman's sight.
Where is Cara when I need her she thought as she raced down one block and up another.

Alleys and intersections passed and Ty was glad that she was drawing them closer and closer to her home, hopefully she would make it.

She was only four blocks away when the bullet struck her . She barely felt a thing, but the lack of movement in her left arm told her that she was hit in the shoulder. At the speed she was traveling, she could not keep the bike on course on handed and in an act of despiration, she turned the bike toards some foliage, hoping that the bushes would offer her some sort of landing pad.

She was thrown from the bike after it struck the curbe and if it wasnt for the fact that she was in leather and wearing a helmet she probably wouldnt have survived the crash. Now if the gunman in the car would leave her for dead she would make it out of this mess with a gunshot wound and a few broken bones.::

Alvarez
Mirazolli

"You don't work for Alvarez, do you? And you sure as hell aren't trying to get the bounty on my head, so tell me why you're going through all this trouble."
The man in the nice business suit gave a clever smile, "You are a lot smarter than your brutish look and attitude give you credit, Terra. Tell me, why are you trying to save this girl?"
Terra shrugged his shoulders, "Money."
The fae woman worked with something in her hand, some sort of liquid felt that moved along her fingers like a silk handkerchief. Terra saw it, almost mesmerized, it seemed to react to her movement, anticipate the smooth caress she gave it.
She shook her head no.
"You sure it's just money, Terra?"
Terra squeezed his eyes together until they were just slits. Fae magic, fucking fae magic. After all of this, he would be happy if he didn't see another human with fairy blood in all his god damned life.
"What the fuck does it matter why I'm doing this?"
"Because, if it were a simple matter of money, we could just offer you more to come work with us. How does double what Cara would have paid you sound?"
Terra shook his head, "Sorry, I may be an asshole, but I'm an asshole with a small amount of dignity."
"It's a shame your boss doesn't carry the same attribute."
Terra said nothing, just turned his head from the casual business mobster, and the fairy woman with her magic felt. She would give him a look every once in a while, something that was neither warm nor cold. He imagined she wasn't so much as looking at him, as she was looking through him.
That sent a chill down his spine.
"Cara's been lying to you."
Terra shrugged his shoulders again, "What else is new. I knew she was lying the moment I got the assignment."
"You think you're going to rescue a child, Mirazolli's child, but it's a lie. Mirazolli has no daughter, you've been sent to get something more dangerous, and far worse."
Where were they going with this?
"A child was kidnapped."
The woman spoke up, for the first time, "Not human."
No? Terra turned to her, cocking his head, "What do you mean?"
"She's a changeling, something with fae magic. A child that has more power than probably most full grown fae's living now."
How was that even possible?
"That makes no sense, what would a child be doing with all that power?"
"A spell, one of the most powerful spells, invocation of a spirit. We think that Alvarez took this child and performed something on her that makes her able to do infinite amount of damage."
"So, why is she being held? Couldn't she just break her way out?"
"She doesn't know she has the gift, she probably doesn't even know she's any different. She won't know..."
"So, why did Cara hire us to find the kid?"
"Because Cara wants the child for herself. Whoever has this girl, has the whole world in their hands. This is far worse than a bomb, it's more like holding the ultimate gun in your hand. Cara knows this, that's why she's working with Mirazolli. They're not trying to get a kidnapped daughter back, they are trying to kidnap her."
Cara in on this? It didn't make much sense, she wouldn't tell him everything, and there might be an alterior motive, but this? Conspiracy, piracy? She wouldn't lie to everyone, would she? If she did, Ty would have to be lying too, and who else? Just who else?
Was he the only one who didn't know? Is that why Feliz followed him after he left? Is that why he was the only one putting his life in danger?
It just made no sense. He didn't believe it.
And yet, as he watched the woman's felt pour through her hands like liquid, he couldn't help but begin to believe. Doubt left him, sifted through him like some drainer, leaving only the man's doubtful words and the woman's dark liquid hypnotizing him.
"What do you want me to do?"
"We need the child, Terra. It's your job to take the kid, and give it to us. You follow Cara and her team, you smile, you nod when you have to nod, and you follow all of them, and once you have the kid, you kill them all, and bring her to me."
Terra fought it, tried to stop what was happening. He could feel himself slipping, falling through some crack of sanity he never knew existed. He had put so many implants, and alterations in his body to try to stop these kinds of manipulations, but not to his mind, just his body.
He had never trained his mind.
The woman stepped forward, putting out her hand. In a moment, the dark felt moved around the fingers, swirling, and before too long, they disappeared, oozing down onto Terra's forehead.
They seeped up through his hair, and after a few minutes of struggling, Terra stopped.
He was calm, peaceful, and a smile went over his face.
"All right."
They released the ropes, Terra sat there comfortably.
"Where's Cara's safe house?"
Terra gave them directions.

Cara

I closed the door to the basement after Felix and Letisha joined me.
I didn't want to do this, but I couldn't find Ty or Terra. Sometimes one must work with the devil you know to destroy the one you don't.
I gathered my tools and set them upon the small alter near the north end of the circle. I pulled the cover off of the alter, revealing a stained and aged thing. It was solid black marble but there was an aura about it that spoke of blood and darker things.
I looked to my two observers. "Nothing can get out of the circle I'm about to throw up so as long as you don't come in you'll be okay. It may turn on me, but I highly doubt it. Well, it hasn't yet and I think it likes me so... anyway, I'm to call up an informant of mine, Meele. He's a bit of perv, so Letisha don't take anything he says to heart."
I took a deep breath and picked up my athame. Moment of truth I thought. I walked the circle three times, coating the edges first with sea salt, then with holy water and finely with occasional drops of my own blood. I hated that part.
The circle flared to life, flames licking to form a sphere all around me.
That done, I set up the spell, spoke the familiar incantations, calling Meele. Something like a Japanese demon crossed with dragon crossed with a humanoid fey he was. Helpfull though, when I needed it.
Redrawing my Athame I stood in the center of the circle, a pentical drawn in salt before me. "Meele, thousand slayer I call you, Meele of the Yukoi I call you, Meele, Watcher of mine, I call you. Thrice named and thrice called, come to me now!"
Even though I knew it was coming, the small explosion that accompanied his summoning always startled me. Todays form was that of a handsome male and wow, he was actually clothed!
He rose from the kneeling possition he'd appeared in, his long silver hair streaming around him like a living thing. Flashing violet eyes studied for a moment. "You have the damnedest timing you know!"
"My appologies for that," I said with a bow. "Welcome Meele."
"Greetings," He said grumpilly, standing and walking to me. "So, what do you need- and who are those two? WHere's that little asian girl I like?"
"One thing at a time," I said before explaining the current situation and job. "I can't find Ty- I wanted you to help me find her. I'm worried about her. Also need to find Terra."
"Ty's in trouble," Meele said after closing his eyes for a moment. "Drop this circle and we'll go get her."
I froze. He'd never asked to get out of the circle, just to be sent back from whereever he came from. "You're word you'll do as I say."
"I swear to follow your orders if you let me out of this circle." He said with a smirk. "Come on, kid, let me out."
"Shit, how could things get worse," I thought with a shrug before talking. "Okay, Meele. You misbehave once and I'm calling blood price on you! One disobediance, I'm going to drain every drop for your body and keep it."
"Damn you're voilent," he said with a glare. Suddenly he smiled. "Just like your mum. Ah, what a creature she was. Oh well, lets get going, boss."
I unwound the circle, calling up first my blood, then the holy water finely the salt back into thier containers. The blood I tossed over to Meele as a snack. Waste not want not.
"Okay, first test," I said once everything was unsealed. "This is Letisha and Felix. They're my friends, so treat them nicer then you do me."
"As you wish," Meele said, managing not to leer at Letisha. "Greetings, Friends of my Cara."
No one blew up, nothing happened. Good.
"All right, lets go find Ty."
"She's almost here," Meele told me as we walked upstairs. "I like your house."
"That has nothing to do with anything," I said, brushing aside his comment. "Where's Ty?"
"Crawling away from a car with guns, she laid her bike down," he said.
"Shit," I cursed, taking the stairs to the armory two at a time. I striped once inside, not carring who saw. Full body armor, hair into a braid, duel brownings tucked under each arm. A kitana behind me and I was good to go.
"You want anything?"
"I'm mean enough without those human toys," Meele said. "And I rather like Ty, so who ever's hurt her... well... I hope they taste good."
"I'm not touching that one," I said, heading back downstairs. "Felix! Can you watch the house for a few moments? I'm going to get Ty."
I grabbed my truck keys. "Lets go."
Meele waved to Felix and Letisha before following me out.

Felix

Felix was suprised when the figure appeared. But in a good way. He fully expected an eighteen foot tall demon with drooling jowels and a tail to boot would have emerged. But instead an ageless man with silver hair was what arrived. Thank goodness for small favors. Felix listened to Cara and her informant talk about Ty. Hopefully she would be all right. Felix nodded at Cara as she ran out of the room. Felix looked over at Letisha.

"Shall we see what this place has to offer as for bandages and the like. That way when Ty and Cara come back, we can help clean her up . "

Ty Lei

::She tried her best to pull herself under the cover of the brush, hoping her black jumpsuit and the night would help shield her from sight. Rolling to her back she pulled what was the only weapon she carried on her person, two shrieken attatched to her belt buckle.

The car came to a stop and though she could hear the engine running, one of the cardoors opened. She closed her eyes and got herself enough armroom to hurl a star if it became necessary.
Footsteps approached, but only after one or two steps she hear the driver yelling for the gunman to return to the car so they could get out of there.

She was saved from one problem, but how to get home or contact Cara::

Letisha turned slightly, still stunned by the power and effectiveness of Cara's circle. Of course, she hadn't been expecting THAT sort of thing, she had assumed it would be more *other realm-like* and less nitty-gritty magick.

She smiled at Felix as his words finally made their way into her overloaded brain.

"Lead on, Felix. I know I have some good herbs for healing upstairs in the room. Guess we can run around and look for bandages until Cara and Ty return."

Felix led the way back up to the main floor and they split up momentarily. She headed upstairs to *her* room and he went looking for ace bandages and such. A few moments later, she came back down with her home made salve and the makings of a pain relieving tincture. She headed for the kitchen and began preparations.

"Felix, do you have any idea if Cara keeps any old cast iron pots around here???"

Felix

Felix put down an armload of bandages down on the table. He was not sure how badly hurt Ty would be, so he brought all he could. He stopped for a second thinking of her question. He thought back through the times he was in the kitchen. His memory served him well, as it usually did. He remembered that when Cara was getting out a pan for breakfast, he saw a cast iron pot behind it. He reached down into the cabinet and pulled out two of them. "Will these do? "

"Perfectly. Thanks."

After a bit of thought, Letisha decided against making the tincture. After all, it would have to set for at least 4 weeks before it could be used and Ty was probably going to need something which could be used right away.

A moments debate and she settled on making an infusion. She poured a pint of water into the smaller of the two pots and turned it on high. As she waited for it to boil, she went through her herbs, settling on chamomile (a good all around sedative) and nettle (to help staunch blood flow).

She opened her mind a bit and spoke to the herbs before adding them to the boiling water and turning it down on simmer to steep for 10 minutes.

Letisha turned away from the stove and glanced at Felix.

"Is it just me or does everything seem to be slipping out of our control??"

The elder woman, teaming with magic, gave off a small smile, "Stop the van. I think this is where our friend gets off."
Terra cocked his head, and so did the other two men, unsure just what to make of this unexpected stop, but at the moment, the fae only smiled her little smile.
Getting out of the car, he was given a gun. The man in the business suit nodded to him, before closing the door.
Terra could see it right away. Ty, lying there, here eyes closed, playing dead for some reason.
He watched as two other people, upon looking at the van, and Terra getting out, ran back into their car.
Terra paid them no mind, he thought it would be easier to get this one out of the way as fast as he could.
He made his way with haste over to where Ty lay. She looked dead, ethereal almost, had not some black magic been spinning around in his brain, telling him otherwise, he would have thought his job already done. Her eyes were closed, muscles slacked, everything to convince him she wasn't lying in ready.
Kneeling down, Terra put the gun right on her chest, just above the heart, clicking down on the hammer.
It was then he felt it. Terra looked up with a shocked start, almost that of a predator who was keeping his kill from the others in the pack. She was coming, and she had someone with her. Terra couldn't tell, but it felt like this thing were neither helping nor hurting at the moment, but had the power to do both.
He couldn't kill her in time, they would round the bend in a few seconds.
Terra got up, turning around, and shooting at the van that had just peeled away. A good final resounding shots to make his own efforts seem a bit more than the were.
"Ty," He spoke, trying to shake her awake, "Ty, are you all right? You took a nasty spill."
Fucking Cara... he'd get her, just wait.
"Please, it's me, Terra. Talk to me, hun. I don't want to lose you."
I'd like to thank the academy....

Cara

Meele and I stole up upon where he said Ty was, and someone new.
I watched for a moment, saw the flash of a gun before it was tucked away, felt curosity then anger before shutting down that side of me.
"Meele, circle around the other side, don't let the guy leave... I think its Terra, one of the mercenaries I've hired."
Meele rolled his eyes but did as I wished, blinking out of sight and re-appearing just beyond Terra and Ty.
I walked up, a blade in one hand a gun in the other. "Terra- step back from Ty. I want to get her back to the house to take care of her. The man behind you is Meele, he's here to help me."
There was a look in Terra's eyes that scared me for some reason, though I couldn't place it. Was still running off the high of summoning a monster of Meele's class. Sending him back would have taken away the high but since that didn't happen, I was stuck with it for a while.
I knelt next to Ty once I knew Meele had Terra. I checked her pulses and smiled.
"Okay, girly girl, stop playing possum," I said, brushing her hair back. Her eyes fluttered open for a moment.
"Cara..." she whispered with relief before seeming to pass out again.
"You rest, Ty," I said, sheathing my sword and gun. I scooped Ty up in my arms, staggering for moment before I caught my balance. "Come on boys, back to the main house. Terra- I'm going to have Letisha take a look at you. You look kind of sick."
We made it back to the house, no one else was hurt. Just a normal walk... sure... right.
I laid Ty out on the kitchen table and started to assess her, see what was wrong. I'd send someone out for her bike later on.

Ty Lei

::She winced as she was lifted, her shoulder having a dull aching, the feeling of something wet soaking her back as it was lifted off of the ground. She could barely remain awake as she was carried and after hearing Cara's voice she decided to simply let sleep take her.

The sudden feeling of something solid beneath her stured her from the gentle arms of sleep. Again she winced, but she tried to sit up reguardless. Her eyes took some time to focus, after they did she looked at herself and groaned.::

Once back inside, Terra pulled Felix aside, his heart racing and the thoughts become jumbled in his head once more.
" Ty's fine, just a few scratches mostly. She'll need to rest, and then she's good to go. So, catch me up to speed with everything?"
At this point, he was just gathering information, trying to get as much as possible, to see his opportunity. He'd be the nice smiling gentle giant until he had to be.
There was no more limp, no more pain. The magic worked wonders on all of his bruises, even the gunshot in his hand had healed and didn't bother him. He'd imagine in less than an hour, he'd be at peak cxapacity. That was good enough for him, he didn't plan on killing them all until later tonight.
He kept the bandages on though, better to leave that one up in the air on purpose.

Letisha

Letisha had just pulled the pot off of the stove and had turned to grab a mug and some clover honey when Cara and company came strolling through the door. Cara dropped Ty onto the kitchen table and seemed mildly surprised that Letisha and Felix had all ready gathered everything they thought might be of use.

"Hey Cara, if you sit her up I have a small infusion to help ease her rest as well as stop some of the bleeding from her wounds."

Letisha stepped forward, her cup of herbal *tea* and honey extended in her right hand. A few moments later, Letisha tilted it up, forcing Ty to finish the dregs of it. Her face left no doubts as to the taste of Tisha's concoction.

"Looks like she had a bullet go through her left shoulder. I have a herbal salve here which will control some of the swelling and ease her pain."

Letisha waited for Cara's go ahead and began to slowly remove Ty's top, the better to see all of the places that were scratched, bleeding or bruised. Forty-five minutes later, Ty's wounds were cleaned and bandaged.

There was a moment of disorientation as something dark and heavy whipped through Letisha's mind. 'What the fuck?' Tisha shook the heaviness away and cleaned up the mess on Cara's table, wondering how they were going to move Ty upstairs.

"Let me know if you will need my help to move her. I want to go get her amulet."

Grabbing the rest of her herbs, Tisha headed upstairs to grab the 2 remaining amulets, Terra's and Ty's.

Felix

Felix shook Terra's hand off his shoulder. The big man did not know his own strength , that had hurt. Either that or he was trying to make a point. Felix shuddered to think of what he could do if he was really mad. Shaking off the pain, Felix brought Terra over to the side.

"Well it seems things are spiralling out of control. Ty was attacked and almost killed as you saw. Thank god you were there to get her attackers to leave. That was a great service you did. I was able to find a secret way into the house that I should be small enough to fit into. Once I get in, I could turn off the security system to let the rest of you in. After that, our chances are up in the air. It seems like this mission was doomed from the start. "

Terra nodded, although he didn't see much hope in it. They got through the security system, it was like saying you knew how to get into the bear's cave. It solved nothing, there was still a bear inside waiting for you.
He had never worried about the system, even turning it off was in its own way an alarm to everyone inside. Everyone would be on guard, they'd all boost men and arm them to the teeth.
He supposed that was where he came in, make sure Cara and her stupid fucking team get in safe while he takes all the shit and hellfire.
"Remember how we talked about not trusting everyone? This wasn't just a simple case of kidnapping. I just learned from someone very close, that it never was."
Terra turned back, looking across at the corridors. They were still taking care of Ty. He had a few minutes.
"We're the kidnappers, Felix. We're the ones who are being played, this child never belonged to the Mirazolli's. They want it for their own. The alvarez want it for their own too... and I think..."
He leaned in close, "I think Cara wants it for herself too. I don't trust her, something about this, using all of us to get her work done, always planning in secret, the magic she's capable of, it just makes me feel like she's keeping us all in the dark for something."
He gave a look across the corridor again, "I can't tell you everyone, it would take too long, and I don't trust revealing too much in this house. Cara knows more than she suspects."

Felix

The white of his eyes threatened to take over his whole face as Felix listened to what Terra had to say. Cara was deceiving them? How was that possible? He could hardly believe that. She was such a good person at heart....... but then he remembered the look on her face as she used her powers on that poor pitiful prison. But Letisha, there was no way she knew. Felix could feel the innate valor and trustworthyness that coursed through her veins. This was all too confusing to him. He was a soldier, a follower, not a leader. He turned back to Terra.

"This is incredible. I would never have believed this, but at this point anything is possible. I will keep my eyes and ears open, and will keep an eye on my back. "

Letisha returned to the downstairs a few moments later, the amulets swinging loosely in her hand. She poked her head into the kitchen, noting the absence of Cara and Ty before continuing on her way.

Eventually, she stumbled across Terra and Felix in the midst of a deep debate. She made enough noise to alert them to her presence and then strode forward.

"Terra, I know we haven't had a chance to actually talk but I wanted to give you this."

She held out his amulet, letting it dangle from her hand. For some reason, she did not want him to touch her.

"It has a protection and no see spell on it. If you choose to wear it, tuck it into your clothing so that it lays on your skin, near your heart."

Terra nodded, his own understanding. What his understand used to be, anyway, before all of this had happened. Trust was fragile, and in this part of the game, everyone held many doubts.
That would be his greatest advantage.
He paused a moment, hearing someone come. In a flash of smile, he noticed the one conjurer come up, intoroducing herself. He knew little of her as well, although something familiar did strike within her.
"Why thank you," he said, taking the amulet. It sent off a tiny gray spark as he touched it. Taken back, he smiled.
"Must be filled with magic," He smiled, putting it around his neck, and tucking it underneath his shirt.
It touched the skin, caressing it. For a moment, he could feel it warm his insides, and then a cold piece of gray reached out from him, and wrapped around the amulet, encompassing the magic within.
Once it had done whatever it was doing, Terra felt better. It was as if he had just been shot with an adrenaline of magic. This would work out quite well, yes.
"Protection and no see? What does that mean exactly? I'm not caught up on my magic as of late. Can I dodge bullets? Or is that just in the movies...."
