I request a few keep a security guard at my workplace in their thoughts. She has lost all three of her sons. Her last one committed suicide with his gf this month.

Asking for prayers today for my fur baby Hunter. He was diagnosed with lymphoma and today I had to have him euthanized. Such a hard but necessary decision. He was loving, outgoing, a big baby, so smart, a show off and so very loyal till the end. I'm going to miss him every day...

I'm reviving this thread. Here are a fer requests:

A man requested prayers concerning his 16 yr old daughter still in HS...she has disappeared and family and friends can't find her. Been missing since Thursday night.

A family I know has lost their home. Mom has dementia, older daughter who is taking care of her is covered in tumors and she has a daughter who is 15. They are desperate for a place to rent.

A friend lost his son. He committed suicide.

A young couple were gonna have their first child and lost the baby in a miscarriage.

Creating this thread for people in need of a prayer or positive thought.
Many of us as we grow older, have friends and family going through major life struggles. Some are terminal. In the past couple of years, I've lost my mom and my dad and great aunt. I also have a couple of friends going through cancer battles.
So I know I'm not the only one. So list your prayer request and or encouraging word here. All are welcome.

I attended my 50th high school reunion last year. So many of my classmates are now gone. It saddens one. I'm suffering with arthritis in my knees and back. Three years ago I was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer but I'm still here.

Someone shared the 5 fingers of prayer with me. I have it on my desktop and add the names of people who have asked for prayer. (I'm forgetful.)

We are not much into prayer or going to a better place.
Today we had a funeral for our oldest and closest friend's wife. We listened to prayers and hopes of the future. Pat died after ten long years of mind killing dementia. The past year was the worse. We are happy it's over for her and the husband who spent every living moment of his life watching over her.

My only prayers are for my own wife with short term dementia and the hope she will never get as bad.
Maybe a tiny prayer for me as today I go for radiation #2 of 45 for prostate cancer. My only reason for living is to be with my wife when she needs me most.
I've know her and those friends since 1956. We all married in 1958. Been thru Heaven and Hell together.
I really don't know what to believe. But as mentioned in our Lit stories we do believe in angels and Karma.

Thanks for my chance to clear my mind and my heart.

Someone once asked me why a prayer area for a sex site. Because we are more then sex. All of us could use positive thoughts or prayers. There is a lot of people hurting. If you want to come here and share ... do so.. if that is not your thing, so long.. Peeing is not my thing but there is a post of people who like that... I do not judge.

For those of you battling cancer, I will be praying for you. I believe in it and I also know having worked in the medical field that there are great advances in the fight of cancer.

For the other battles and struggles, I will be thinking and praying for you all as well.

It brings comfort to know people care and support you. This is a thread for support and encouragement. I had started this awhile back, and left it and saw that some kept it going and after seeing people posting on FB with all their issues, I was on here and saw the old thread and brought it back. If you want to use it do so. If not... Bye...

Completely agree, and Spenser is one of the good guys here. I pray every morning when I wake up, starting off with being thankful for a new day. Nothing can be taken for granted in this life.

I do too! I go through the five fingers of prayer before reading Our Daily Bread. It helps me to focus on what is really important in my life.

If you're a Christian, you know very well that Jesus was often found associating with people that "good" people judged immoral, or in situations where he "shouldn't have been" seen. We can all love each other and support each other no matter where we are.

Thanks guys. I didn't create the thread to push religion, but to provide encouragement, support and listening hearts for people in pain. We all know friends and family and even ourselves that have battled cancer, loss, divorce, loss of job and other ducky things that happen in life and to get an caring heart to listen and support, encourage and yes prayer, is something we all need.

So like is said. If you believe in it and want it, it's here..if you don't ..the. Go somewhere else. And thanks for all of you who understood why I did this and brought it back.
