Hey,

Weird request/question. Does anyone on this board have Scientology Literature or has anyone on this board been in the Church or Scientology and left?

Not looking to join Scientology. Hold your horses. I have another interest in this stuff!

Thanks! PM me if you do. Serious!

I've seen some weird freaky stuff on Lit, but this takes the cake.

LOL Nice replies. Okay, I'll elaborate.

It seems like every time I turn on the TV there's a new show on about Scientology. I'm not looking for it, it just seems to turn up. And even though, everyone that leave Scientology says that it's a cult, evil, controlling, constant pressure for money etc, they also all say that many of the course are amazing. Especially the ones pertaining to getting rid of past guilt, resentment and negative behaviors.

I was wondering if anyone had any of these courses. Don't worry, or maybe be very worried, but my motive for obtaining the courses was way more complex than wanting to take the courses for myself. LOL

You are staring your own church, aren't you?

Best that I can tell, rejecting psych meds and jumping on furniture are involved

Not exactly. LOL

I suspect your wanting to use what you can piece together in a story with SME or research obtained via fellow lister's. Deviously clever if so, but the Hubbard types can get a bit testy.

That's why I was asking for an ex Scientology member. Even further, I had designs to write my own self help book/course using the best parts of scientology but leaving out the cult/scam/emeter stuff.

I don't think it's going to work.

Perhaps a cult of "The Disgruntled Barking Moonbat's and Not My President or My Country" would prove popular???

Self help books are about a dime a dozen once the new wears off or the author goes to prison. So make that money quick. :D

There was actually a show on tv last night about people who left Scientology and about the belief itself. I can't think of her name, but it was by the lady who starred in King of Queens.
