I went through a real spiral about that once following a particularly convincing podcast episode with a medium.
I’m normally SUCH a skeptic which is probably why it fucked me up so much.

I used to believe that a lot more literally. Which really sucked after my mom died when I was a teenager and wanted to do typical teenage male things and was terrified my mom was watching the whole time. So, no. Not a comfort at all.

I do … in some way … like… not literally looking down on you..

But like… beaming their support and love to you.


Like how I ended up working for the same union as my dad… I got the job 6 months after he passed.

What's worse... I still remember phone numbers for both my grandmother's (they've been gone over 30 years now). But when asked for my phone number, or even my address... I have to think about it a minute.

Absolutely! I have always believed in them, and spent my whole childhood, and even into young adulthood worrying about what they'd think of me (and my kinky thoughts).... then I finally decided I wasn't interesting enough for them to care anyway.
