Okay, but on a serious note… has anyone actually gotten paranoid about the existence of ghosts/spirits and what they may or may not see you doing??

I went through a real spiral about that once following a particularly convincing podcast episode with a medium.
I’m normally SUCH a skeptic which is probably why it fucked me up so much.

I don't think of it like they're watching me. More like... They still love me but I can't see them and they can't see me. Sometimes I have such strong memories of my grandma it feels like she's with me.

I think our brains are powerful at convincing us what we want to believe is true.

I don't think they're looking at us, but sometimes I'm not so sure, and then yes - distressing as fuck!

Confirmation bias doesn't necessarily agree with what we *want* to believe. Our brains believe what we tell it... So if you're telling yourself something that disagrees with what you want to believe you gotta change the script. That's pretty hard though...

In any case, yes, we all malfunction from time to time.

I do not believe in ghosts in any meaningful way. But I have had experiences I don’t have a good explanation for with all the science I know. So I absolutely ain’t gonna be that guy going into the haunted insane asylum saying “why y’all so scared? Nothing can hurt you here.”

I have never for a second thought my mom was looking down on me. I think a lot about what would make her proud and that influences me but I never think she’s anywhere being proud (or not as the case might be I guess).

So for whatever reason my playlist deleted most of my music … now I have to go through and manually find all the songs on there or reconnect to my laptop (which is fuck knows where in my house)… or .. I dunno.

Though… if I DO find my laptop ..: I can also then resume writing of my novel. Which I haven’t done at all this year.
