I'm guess you got staples, because of the amount of tissue that was cut... You don't want that to open up...
I could be wrong...
As the only stitches I know are single and double crochet...
By heart anyway...

I had a hell of a time coming out of recovery. I was in so much pain and could barely tolerate it (and I can tolerate a lot). The anesthesiologist gave me a block (a needle in my neck!!) which helped but I'm floppy on my right side and essentially bed bound for the remainder of the night. I'm so ready to heal.
