Sexy Art

I love how they pushed the envelope of what was and wasn't acceptable back in the 1930's and 1940's and 1950's by using illustrations instead of pictures.

I've always wondered where these kinds of illustrations got published though. Was it the Saturday Evening Post? Does anyone know?

This is a great picture... especially the squirting gas pump.... ;-) . I am not sure where most of this art was used. A lot appears to be centered around the war so many venues would have started to be available then.

Just like the pictures nothing says 50s sexy more than an Erle Stanley Gardner book cover.... most all had a honey as part of the cover art.... very nice.

Sounds like the autobiography of my life lol

What crosses your line?
When does "sexy" become... crude or porn?
Is there a certain level of explicitness that is an image too far?
I have a high tolerance (as most men do, I think). I also enjoy more subtle, suggestive eroticism too.

This is a great question.

I prefer subtle over explicit, but sometimes explicit has its place so that's not necessarily the line in the sand for me. Maybe it is for some women, idk, but not me.

What crosses my line is anything that is rape-y or overtly humiliating. Anything with pee or poo is waaaay over my line (and for the record will NOT be tolerated!)

I love that piece too btw Throbbs. It might be my favorite one of yours so far. You're a really talented artist!

Gotchya. I am in agreement. In my mind, all my scenarios are consensual, even if they may appear... "forceful".

Thanks so much! That story had one other image, when they went a bit further in the bathroom.

Not to monopolize things...
There was another drawing related. This one is somewhat reality based.
I went to an actual masked ball and there was this woman there, with whom I made eye contact with... tho' we did not make any actual contact. Her mask and stick "wings" were like this. Her dress, however did not fall off.

Don't be silly! Thank you for sharing one of your own paintings. This isn't a competition.

Different strokes for different folks applies to Lit AND to art!

I personally love it - especially the expression you captured on her face

Feel free to post more if you like 😘
When you surrender to each other not caring whatever happens around you. Just what you are feeling from that other person that touch that kiss that sensation.
