I’m willing to believe that Donald Trump was injured by a shard of teleprompter glass, but it’s been six weeks and we still haven’t seen an image of the damaged teleprompter.

I think it is irresponsible of you to imply that this was a photo-op setup by co-conspirators and that Trump was not injured. There is no evidence supporting your first allegation and contradicting evidence to your second allegation.

The rally on July 13 marked the most significant security failure by the Secret Service in decades. A 20-year-old gunman was able to access a roof in close proximity to Trump and fire shots into the crowd, leaving one dead, two seriously injured, and Trump with a minor injury.

Agents responsible for protecting Trump at the rally made a routine manpower request ahead of the event but did not ask for countersniper teams or Counter Surveillance Division personnel, Hawley wrote. Hawley said the end result was that field agents did not receive these assets until the last minute, leaving little time for the added security personnel to prepare for the rally.

“According to the whistleblower, the manpower request did not include extra security resources because agents on the ground were told not to ask for them in the first place,” Hawley said.

Those in Trump’s orbit said the former president’s security detail became enraged after learning they were not told for 30 minutes about a suspicious subject carrying a range finder around the perimeter of Trump’s July 13 rally, according to The Washington Post. That suspicious subject turned out to be Thomas Matthew Crooks, the former president’s 20-year-old attempted assassin.

Trump took the stage in Butler shortly after 6 p.m., according to reports. Meanwhile, local officers had first spotted Crooks between 5:45 p.m. and 5:55 p.m., the Post's timeline of events indicates. Once spotted, local law enforcement verbally communicated the threat to Secret Service agents, but the threat was reportedly never shared with Trump's team. Trump's team was also reportedly never told that local law enforcement counter-snipers lost track of Crooks at one point.

Anger from Trump’s team about the circumstances surrounding the July 13 Butler rally comes amid years of frustrations over the Secret Service’s failure to heed the Trump team’s repeated requests for additional counter-snipers, bomb-sniffing dogs, magnetometers and other security precautions at the former president’s rallies and residences, the Post reported last week.

SS has been biased and flawed for a number of years. Lots of cases of Agents getting in trouble for stupid things.

I'd like to see the Protection mission removed from Treasury altogether and the agents reassigned to financial investigations.

Move the Protection mission to the Diplomatic Security Service under State and combine Military into it more than they are now.

I get what you have been doing, (and a medical report from the doctors who treated DonOld or a report from the hospital where the treatment took place WOULD certainly help complete the picture) but promoting more conspiratorial narratives without any supporting evidence is irresponsible.

There is enough supporting evidence that the shooter was a right wing ammosexual ncel loner who may have wanted to start a civil war, and didn’t care if he shot a Democrat or a "republican" - so there’s no need to speculate.
