Donald Trump is not known for hiring competent people. All that would be required to stage an assassination would be to fire one shot into the crowd.

BTW, you don't get to be one of the richest people in America by not hiring competent people. What you don't understand, because your world is probably too small, is that among any large corporation there will always be those who are hired for reasons other than competence. Those failures are properly placed upon those doing the hiring, not the CEO who does not.

Not that this takes away from Trump hiring lawyers who abandon him. He's advised that, based on their resumes, those lawyers are "the best." That it later turned out to not be the case, isn't a stain on him either because a lack of courage isn't something that most people put on their resume.

It IS suspicious that neither the doctor(s) and nurse(s) who treated Trump nor the hospital where he was treated have been allowed to elaborate on the nature of the ear wound and the level of treatment required to treat it.

I would only say this:

If a bullet, a piece of a bullet, or some shrapnel from another source barely nicked Trump’s ear, there probable wouldn’t have been any immediate pain, and the bullet, piece of a bullet, or shrapnel whizzing past his ear could have disoriented him for a moment before he realized what was going on. (He IS a doddering OLD imbecile, so a slow reaction to what was happening would track.)

BUT, the buck always stops at someone's desk. If the "vision" of the USSS was lacking, that's the fault of the guy/whatever at the top. Cheatle shouldn't have needed to be asked to resign, she should have immediately tendered her resignation and handed off the running of the department to her TWIC before cooperating FULLY with Congress.

Because her doing that would be in the best interest of the USSS and the American people. The political BULLSHIT that's followed the shooting isn't and hasn't been in anyone's interest except those involved and culpable.

There was plenty of local resources and Secret Service supervision / personnel on site; and it was the security on site that fucked up.

Short of being on site and holding everyone’s hand at every outdoor gun friendly Trump rally, Cheatle did more than enough in her role as the head of the Secret Service.
