Flying home through rain wasn't as much fun as being in the Duke's arms and listening to the rain falling outside the window! I was treated royally; pampered by both the Duke and the beautiful Skylar during my visit.

Unfortunately, the days just sped past and I had to return home to take care of my four-foots - Sakijin and Jack (my cats) haven't forgiven me for being gone but I got a howling "Welcome Home!" from my Beagles and Siberians.

Hello to everyone else, especially Zeta & BlondBombshell!

Well, guess I need to explain my recent absence, huh??? After returning from visiting the Duke, I came down with the flu and I was pretty much out of it for over a week...when I recovered, I started cleaning up my tiny cabin and sorting through a 9 yr accumulation of junk so that the Duke would have some room for his stuff.

I warned him that I was a pack rat but even I hadn't realized just how true that statement really was! I found catalogs from 1999 that were buried in stacks of papers on my bookcases and in boxes!

Oh, my...Duke, now I have new nicknames (LOL) Licktum CajunPeach & the Five Tongued Woman Kitty as well as the VIH!

It's been two weeks since I've seen the Duke and I'm really, really looking forward to his & Skylar's arrival here on Sunday! I promise you that he will get a ROYAL welcome!

Hey everyone, I wanted to let you know that I made it to Georgia! In all fairness, to just say that I'm here, would be a complete injustness to the whole experience of getting here. (In summary, I am happier than I've ever been with any move I've ever made!)

"Operation Georgia Transplant" Part One.

Cajunpeach and I had been anxious for my arrival ever since she flew back from her visit with me on the 20th of Feb. We had planned on the 8th of March being my departure, U-haul truck reserved for the 7th and so on. At first the 3 weeks seemed like a very long time. A very strong comparison for understanding how I felt, reminded me of when I was a child around the first part of December and counting the days until Christmas. When I was that young, Christmas was the WORLD to me! I couldn't think about anything else, and my homework grades reflected such lack of ability to concentrate on other things!

The 8th arrived and I was suddenly faced with one very looming reality. Although I had begun packing on the 4th, what I thought was a mere completion of two closets, turned out to be a lot more. I've relocated 40 times in my life now, and of all of them, this one was a doozie. I felt like I was in a dream, because the more I packed, organized and loaded onto the truck, the more something else seemed to appear that needed to be done. Now don't take this wrong, I was just so excited about getting finished and leaving Dallas, that I was growing more anxious and at times frustrated, because unlike 90% of the other moves, I was doing all the work, and not some moving company. I had acquired a LOT more in 6 months previous than I could remember!!

Joyously... wait... HELL NO! Unfathomably Ecstatic, I called her around 11:00 PM Sunday and let her know that the "neverending nightmare that was preventing me from being with my life blessed cajunpeach" was finally over!! Hallelujah!!! Hot damn honey, I'm on my way!!!!! Her own reaction was one of equal exhuberance.

So since the actual E.T.D. occurred some 33 hours later than expected, I was not about to spend one more night in Dallas, because I wanted to be on my way right then. I had been working 18 hours straight, since 5:30 am that morning, and still managed to drive 4 hours to Bossier, Louisiana to the motel. The voyage had finally begun.
