Something Rotten in the state of Florida?

It is now being reported that the mysterious ballot box was in fact a box filled with election materials, not ballots. And I say that once the absentee ballots are counted, one of the candidates will pull ahead, I hope!

Bush tries to stop blacks from voting - Investigation Underway!!

The Sun Sentinel in Broward County is reporting that four white Florida Highway Patrol troopers in North Florida set up a safety checkpoint about a mile from a Baptist church where voters in a heavily black district cast their votes. The U.S. Justice Department and the Florida Attorney General's office were said to be investigating the incident after a civil rights complaint was filed alleging that the checkpoint was intended to intimidate African-American voters.

My panties are definitely more important than this...

but, I did hear about this "lost" or "forgotten" ballot box....I'm about ready to side with Dixon on the do-over...

Now, back to panties..........

This is from msnbc.com.

The Florida factor was further intensified by voter confusion in Palm Beach County, where several dozen Gore voters said they were not sure if they had punched ballots for Gore or Reform Party candidate Pat Buchanan. A Democratic Party official who oversees that station approved of the ballot, which was modified to make the type larger so voters could read it.

Conspiracies are fun, LOL. I can see Oliver Stone walking around with a serious hard on while all this plays out.

Btw, someone earlier in this thread said that if Gore doesn't win the recount, then something fishy is going on. I'd love to here why. For better or worse, I would expect him to win the recount and to expand his margin as absentee ballots are added to it.

Whoops, sorry, just saw this, also on msnbc.com

http://www.msnbc.com/news/487297.asp

Kevin Kennedy, executive director of the Wisconsin Election Board, said if the losing candidate sought to challenge the results, he would need to do so no later than three business days after the state had received official results from all 72 of the state’s counties, which would probably be next Wednesday. So challenges would need to be filed by Nov. 20.

If there were a recount, each county’s board of canvassers would conduct it. The candidate challenging the results could present evidence to each county’s board of any allegedly improper ballots. The county boards’ decisions would be subject to appeal in state court.

Even before Election Day, a controversy erupted in Wisconsin over allegations that homeless people in Milwaukee had been paid in cigarettes to vote for Gore.

Constance Milstein, a longtime donor to Democratic candidates, went to Milwaukee homeless shelters last weekend to recruit voters. Men from one homeless mission told a local television station that they had been offered packs of cigarettes after they cast absentee ballots - but they said they weren’t told for whom to vote.

Let the games begin, LOL

Wha' the F***

This just in!
Just moments ago, in Dade County Florida, several ballot boxes were found in the trunk of a 76 Buick registered to a man named "Bubba". The ballot boxes were found to be stuffed with several pairs of women's panties. The panties had the names Sammy Jo, Latina, and Eve stitched in them. A man, who sources could only identify as "Slut-Boy", had been seen earlier with the boxes.

More as the situation develops.

Gee, Thumper, it's been nearly two years since I lost my panties in Florida. Glad you found them. Think of me as you handle them--my hot, wet pussy has been in them!

Just read that Hawaii's electoral college declared its vote after counting only 18% of that state's popular vote. What if the majority of the remaining 82% voted OPPOSITE of how the electoral college did?

Maybe Hawaii and not Florida will get to decide who is President?

Some people are so rude....imagine discussing this insanity at a time like this...

So, who has my panties now? Someone has to have confiscated them...is that what is keeping you away from me Thumper? You can have the real thing upon your arrival...if that speeds it up any...LOL

That's all interesting but doesn't have much bearing on Florida. It's weird how all the conservatives like yourself are bringing up old news to hide what's actually happening in Florida. It's clear after reading the the news at CNN and other nonpartisan sites that something is afoot in Jeb Bush's state, even if there wasn't the many odd circumstances you still have the fact that Gore won the popular vote and Bush won Florida by the smallest of margins. Congress is so evenly divided that nothing will get done. I agree with Laurel's and other's prediction that this Presidency is a bust.

wow...wisconsin on the news???

i live in milwaukee wisconsin, good ole beer makin town...but um...that is a rumor...started by a radio station, i listened in while they plotted it....funny...damn funny....but MILWAUKEE WAS ON THE NEWS!!! wow. lol...ok, well lets just say if gore wins, nothing really will change we will go on our happy democratic lives...but if bush wins, we all get the death penalty and get executed on monday at two thirty sharp...my last meal....LINE UP BOYS!
sorry just thrilled wisconsin got in the news...

Well, I think this qualifies as the stupidest thing I've read about the election.

The Electoral College doesn't meet till December 18th. Hawaii's electors would not even be officially selected until whatever passes for a Board of Elections in that state certifies the results of the election. The 4 electors selected for the state of Hawaii will be the 4 people chosen by the political party that wins the popular vote in that state.

That actual electors have nothing to do until Dec. 18 when they will meet in Honolulu and do whatever it is that Electors do.

My guess is that most places reporting on the election put Hawaii into Gore's column the moment the polls closed without ever worrying about what the popular vote would be. Tracking polls and exit polling would have made it obvious long before the polls ever closed that Gore was going to win the state (which he did by 19 percentage points).

Have ya told us yet who Frank voted for?? I musta missed it...

LMAO... Do I get some kinda prize for being America's first right wing pornographer??? Hehehehee... Good God, man, don't you have a sense of humor?? Tell me that's not funny?

I have said from the start that I'm not gonna get dragged into any partisan horse shit. There's plenty of people around that can do that for ya... Obviously all the Democrats are gonna line up and talk about the conspiracy in Florida (although if you're watching the news sites, each of the little rumors that has come floating out of the state has later been contradicted, but I'm sure there's more to come!), and all the Republicans are gonna talk about honesty and impartiality and all that bullshit.

I'm just having fun. I'm sorry, but if ya want me to jump up and do my best Dennis Miller impression going, "He was robbed, Man...", it's not gonna happen. But maybe this'll make ya happy....

I just saw on the CNN website that 14 counties in Florida have reported their recounts and Gore has picked up 8 votes! It's getting closer, Man...

Ooops, almost forgot... I dunno if you've looked, but the marigin in Wisconsin is about 6,100 votes and there's the possibilty of a recount there too... Florida is not the only game in town, buddy. Don't forget about Wisconsin, Iowa, New Hampshire, New Mexico and Oregon....

Liking porn doesn't mean you're not right wing. Look around the site, there's all sorts of right-wingers. I don't have a problem with you being conservative, but you should at least admit it. Your posts betray your bias, that's fine, we all have biases, but don't try to claim impartiality because you're obviously partisan. Nothing personal, just my two cents.

Liking porn doesn't mean you're not right wing.

LOL, liking porn?? Click on the little red house at the bottom of this post... I'd say I'm a little more involved in porn than just liking it.

I dunno what to tell ya, CB. Liberals call me Conservative, Conservatives call me Liberal. I've never been able to put a finger on a label that really fits me. I have yet to find a political party that I can agree with more than 50% of the time, and I'm not registered to either of the major political parties. The two politicians I'm most impressed with these days are Pennyslvania's Republican governor Tom Ridge, and Pittsburgh's Democratic Mayor Tom Murphy. Christ, if Bush had any fucking brains Ridge would've been his choice for VP and we wouldn't be sitting here now cause he would've won Pennyslvania by 6 pts. Game over....

I get overwhelmingly annoyed by people who live for partisan politics. I like to focus on ideas, and when I see one I like I don't particularly care where it's coming from.

I guess if someone wants to tell me what makes one a Conservative, I'd be better able to answer that question....

Florida seems to be showing us, that every vote does count. You can't tell me there aren't supporters on both sides, who by some reason or another didnt make it out to rock the vote, arent kicking themselves right now.

It doesn't really matter which one is Prez and which is VP, does it?
God, I hope you are joking.

And as for making the loser the VP- most bosses like to at least think that their direct reports have some level of loyalty to them.

Well then.....nice to meet you Republican........I'm Independant.........wanna share a ticket?

LOL
